You can buy samsung strive a687 unlock code from ebay or third party sites and please remember don't use any free samsung unlock code in your phone, since almost of that unlock code is a fake code. If your phone received wrong unlock code in a few times, your phone will be hard locked and you must unlock it at mobile repair shop. Good luck!

Take it to the wireless carrier's store and see what they can do about it. I don't think removing the SIM card will do anything.
