Oven not working

I just purchased a used hotpoint rgb745 gas range and the oven is not working.I turn the oven temp dial and nothing happens. If I try to use the time bake function, the "oven on light will flash non-stop. If I press the MIN+ and Min- buttons 12 hour shutdown will turn on, but if I press them again I will hear the beep but the it will not go to off. Any Solutions?

Oven temperature off

If you have a ohm meter you can ohm out the temp sensor. It has a harness that connects in the back. Unplug it and it should read around 1100 ohms at room temp. It sounds to me more like the ignitor itself. It has to draw so many amps to open up the gas valve. Check the sensor first. If it ohms out, change the ignitor. I think your problem will go away.
