might be a sign of a defrost problem OR somebody may not have closed the door all the way. Unplug it and wait till tomorrow and plug it back in. If it starts making a noise right away I say fan motor if it makes noise after a couple weeks probably defrost problema.

Coolong fan making a lot of noise

There are probably at least three fans in your refrigerator. I am assuming it is the fan in the refrigerator, check to be sure it is not being obstructed with ice or some other alien matter. If it is clear then you need to order a new fan ASAP. While you are at it check the condenser and condenser fan, they both probably need cleaning.

Good Luck,

Noise (more detail)

I think I answered this in an earlier post.

The noise is the fan banging against the motor housing. It's not a defective motor, it's a poorly designed motor.

The solution is to shim the motor mount so it is slightly out of level which will keep the fan from bouncing off the motor housing.

The reason Samsung won't service is they don't understand the problem. I've seen this a half-dozen times.

I have the same problem with mine. I was told by a tech that it is probably the motor of the fan.... I'm researching online for that part.
