SOURCE: power steering fluid coming up steer colume and leaking out on a ford 2000 tractor

Remove steering wheel, throttle cable and cowl . unbolt the top portion (4 bolts)of steering housing to expose shaft (DO NOT REMOVE THE STEERING BLOCK IT'S THE PIECE WHERE THE P/S LINES CONNECT) .Buy a top portion steering kit with seal and o rings replace them and button it up, Test for any leaks, if good you can replace the cowlect. It is a easy fix, the hard part is removing the steering wheeland cowl.

1996 dodge truck power steering leak out of bolt area

if it\'s the nut which looks longer than normal, sometimes located at the pump or at the hydralic fan, then the hose needs to be replaced. the nut in some cases can be obtained as a separate part, but it is a huge pain to remove the old one and usually angle grinders are involved..that\'s like a quick fitting connector and it has a couple of o-rings in it which allow the hose to move even when the nut is tight.

My brake light has started coming on? Does that mean that the brake fluid is low? The brakes are not making any noise and they seem to be stopping ok.

Probably. If flushing and replacing the fluid (not just topping off) doesn't help, then take it to a mechanic.
