Take a lint free cloth and then clean the copper contacts of the ink cartridge.. if it does not work then try with a different black ink and then contact HP for replacement of the black ink if the ink cartridge is in warranty

Canon MX850. Print blank after ink changes. The black ink, PGBK-5, ran out so I replaced it with a cheap generic ink tank. But it didn't work, nothing print, not even color copy. I thought the ink is bad...

That is a common problem on all Canon printers, the purge assembly on the right where the printhead parks, has a pump inside and hoses that go to the filters and ink absorbers. When that unit goes out you need a replacement. A job best done in a shop. When the printhead is not cleaned and primed properly you get blank pages no matter how full the inks are.

Lexmark x4850. swapped oem with non-oem black cartridge. will not print black now. message says warranty does not support non-lexmark and prints blank pages.

“Lexmark does not support the refilling of its ink cartridges. Refilling the ink cartridges can cause them to leak, thus clogging or even damaging the print head. Any damage to your printer caused by refilled ink cartridges may not be covered under warranty”. Please use genuine Lexmark cartridges for best results.

My printer is printing a wet black streak on the back of every page...

It means ink is backing up on the rollers, it is waste ink and should be going to the absorber, but some models have the ink drying up and plugging the passages. You will need cleaning, new ink absorbers, and a mylar strip that will keep that from happening in the future.

Blank print but eats ink levels

I would imagine that you are printing in black more than you realize. The color inks tend to last longer because they are not normally used as much. Also when you print in color you are always using the black ink to make the correct colors. So every print that you have, whether it be black only or color only, the printer is using the black ink to make the colors. I work in a copier business and printer business and this is a highly asked question. Hope this was of some help.

Leaking black ink on printed pages

Hi, please attempt to run a numerous blank paper through the printer. This will dry or clean any ink found on the rollers.
Continue to run blank pages through the printer until no more ink is found on the paper, then attempt printing. If ink stains or streaks are still present, the printer may need service.

Can we print with other three Color ink cartridges when Black Ink cartridge is emptied?

hi,

as u have ran out of ink you cant print anymore... you have to replace a new ink cartridge.... this is because when u print something, the colors will get mixed to print the exact color.... even if u are printing only in black, some other colors wil get mixed to produce the black color on the paper... so u need to change the ink cartridge.... u cannot run with a blank filled ink cartridge.... and the selection of your printer is very good...

thanks and regards

Blank pages

Even though I changed my black and colored ink cartridges twice, the printer still prints blank pages. What should I do?
