Question about Turntables

Numark TTi turntable

Just installed the turntable with ez converter 2 - sound just repeats over and over like it wont advance or something - records are perfectly clean - I'm actually doing it for a friend and he has bought all the equipment - I'm really stuck and don't know what to do

thanks for the reply - the turntable has no model marked on it and neither does the books that came with it - there seems to be no serial number either which is weird - it is just marked Numark TTi with universal dock for Ipod. I have actually figured out that it was the counterweight not set perfectly. I think Numark should have this factory pre-set - its fine for people that know this stuff but not for newbies. I now have it set up fine and working thanks.

Every DJ who use turntables will have set up the counterweight to suit the arms' balance on the record, (normally situated at the end of the arm is a counterweight system),This is used to adjust the pressure of the needle pressing down on the grooves on each record that is being played,
If not adjusted properly the arm doesnot travel the correct path on the record and seems to stop or skip at random,
The different sytles of performers seem to dictate the type of settings required by the individual users,ie,HOUSE,DANCE,TRANCE,HIP HOP,REGGAE,SCRATCHING,etc...............

The only other issue faced is the earthing of sound equipment,
If this is not done thru the correct methods then the systems will produce a horrible feedback noise,YUCK

We all apriceate a good sound and will enjoy a good mix of flavours the DJ can dream up to entice us all on to the dance floors.

Hope this helps resolve any misunderstandings,
Let me know if there is anything further I can help with.

No sound from iTunes audio files

it sounds like EZ A C did not get the audio or EZ put it in a format tha Itunes Cant play. download VLC media player and install it. open the file with VLC and se if it will play it. It will play just about anything it has most of the codex's need to play anything too. if it doesent play it then something is wrong with the input to EZ A C you might have the input muted.

Playback Problem

They should be recording in mp3.  Then converted into ITunes using AAC.  Itunes will play MP3 format from the turntable.  The best thing to do is to record in that format, then test the files before converting them.  That way you can find out if the problem is with Itunes conversion or the turntable.

I cannot access the turntable thru my USB hub.

I received an updated driver from Numark but that still did not solve my problem. It turned out to be some sort of incompatability with my USB 2 card. When I plugged the turntable into my old USB 1 slot, my computer recognized it immediately. The new Audacity and MixMeister programs that were sent as a fix from Numark are just burning programs and not drivers for the device. I can now convert my old vinyl with ease.
