Question about Washing Machines
Intermittent fault upon start of cycle. Will fill then drum wont turn to begin wash. Machine will "try" for about a minute then fault alert occurs and LE code is displayed. Has had new stator assy installed plus a sensor on the rear of the drum - all because of the same problem. At times will go through a number of washes without missing a beat. Will often perform faultlessly for the repair man and will often work for a month before stopping again. Last reapir man visit was 2 weeks ago. Worked up until today. Problem occurs on various wash programs. Will drain but not spin. will fillthen drum wont turn to begin wash.Has had new stator assy, maincontrol board and hall sensor. thankyou
I found that in winter time not a problem with my LG front loader, but when the temperature went over 30 Celsius the problem came back and intermittent like yours did, there was also an unusual noise coming from the machine.
What I did to fix the problem was to remove the stator and place it in the freezer for about half an hour or so, I also cleaned any minor dust and grit from both the Stator magnets and the Stator drum, replaced it still very cold and now it works well with no more unusual noise and the outside temperature has no more bearing on the machine not spinning this day!
I hope this helps!

Le fault code means the stator has no idea what direction to go due to a faulty hall sensor, located on the back of the unit behind the stator, The part is about $5.00. Remove the rear panel with a adjustable remove the stator cover ( big circle ) once you loosen the bolt pull the cover to u, it's held in by the magnet. then remove the 4 bolt holding the stator and the one screw at the bottom holding the wires in place. pull the stator out and the hall sensor is at the bottom. Good luck

Tips for a great answer:
Over-sudsing is the main cause of LE error codes. Using non-HE (high efficiency) detergents or too much detergent will cause stress on the motor. In addition, detergent residue can also cause leaking and odor. Follow these steps to resolved an LE error code caused by over-sudsing.
Step 1: Unplug the washer and allow the unit to sit for 30 minutes to give the suds time to dissolve.
Step 2: Plug the washer back in and press [Power] to turn on the washer.
Step 3: Do not choose a washing cycle. Press the [Spin Speed] key until "No Spin" is selected.
Step 4: Press [Start/Pause] to begin a drain only cycle.
Step 5: After the drain only cycle has completed, remove the clothing items from the machine. Turn the power back on and select [Rinse and Spin] and then press [Start/Pause]. This will remove excess soap suds and light residue from the drum. Repeat this step until no visible suds are in the drum of the washer.
Has a large load size been used with a gentle wash setting?
Gentle wash cycles such as Perm Press, Delicates, Hand Wash, and Wool/Silk should only be used for smaller loads. Because the cycles are more gentle while tumbling and spinning, too many items in the drum can register as an issue with the motor. In this instance reset the unit and run a test rinse and spin cycle.
Has the washer been overloaded?
Single bulky items or large loads can add extra weight to the drum and place stress on the motor. Remove some of the clothing and restart. If the issue is still present after a few items have been removed, unplug the washer for 30 minutes to allow the motor to cool and then restart the cycle.
