there are many reasons, are you capable of scanning 2 folder?

do you have a smtp server? check the smtp server in the usertools, systemsettings, file transfer and smtp server

- it would only work on internal emails not like yahoo and the others try using the scan to folder just share the folder so the machine can access it,
