Question about PC Laptops

Ramona Hi, and thank you for the reply... l received some suggestions and l started to disassemble the back cover. l am still not able to disassemble it all the way the computer is still held together by a silver box next to the dvd player model number: MHW2120BH and part number: CA06820-B44700SN what is that? and should l try to unscrew the side screws...? they are harder to reach... or re-assemble it and try to power it up...? it's been about 4 hours... thank you again, mona.

ok, it's been 24 hr now... and l re-screwed all the screws...

l was not able to take off the back cover, but l hope that l was able to at least let it "breathe"...?
should l try and power it up again or wait longer?... especially since it's coke, l am very worried because of the sugar in it...
l started an experiment and placed a drop of coke on a piece of plastic just like the laptop and see when it dries... it's still sticky...
if it would be the same inside... should l wait until it's all dried up...?

Ramona, try turning your wi-fi router off then back on. do what you need to do to add your lap before whomever logs back on. if this works, get back here and we'll see what we can do about your password k/

Which back do you mean? The cover that hides the Ram/Hard Drive etc... or would you like to disassemble the Machine?

Since you didn't mention the specific task you would like to do, I am unable to give you the specific instruction. Please check out the following tutorials:

If you need further help, let me know with more details.

the back cover has 4 main screws after u have removed them the hole back cover is filled with latches, its a real pain to remove but u can do it. i suggest using clock work screwdrivers to lift the back cover. don't be ruff but dont just do it lightly.

good luck

LCD starts to display for about 2 seconds then goes dark.

lamp(s) perhaps.... with an LCD monitor (the desktop kind) you can shine a lite behind it. if you can see things on the screen it's the lamps... if you can't it's something else.

Check the back of the LT. You may have missed some screws that hold the Mobo to the chassis or the LCD hinges to the chassis.

Zd8256ea heating problems

On many overheating problems we tell our customers to shut off the laptop, place a fairly strong vacuum cleaner flush against the bottom grill and hold it there for about 30 seconds. This sucks out a strip of dust that gathers on the cooling grid over time.
