Ramona Hi, and thank you for the reply... l received some suggestions and l started to disassemble the back cover. l am still not able to disassemble it all the way the computer is still held together by a silver box next to the dvd player model number: MHW2120BH and part number: CA06820-B44700SN what is that? and should l try to unscrew the side screws...? they are harder to reach... or re-assemble it and try to power it up...? it's been about 4 hours... thank you again, mona.

ok, it's been 24 hr now... and l re-screwed all the screws...

l was not able to take off the back cover, but l hope that l was able to at least let it "breathe"...?
should l try and power it up again or wait longer?... especially since it's coke, l am very worried because of the sugar in it...
l started an experiment and placed a drop of coke on a piece of plastic just like the laptop and see when it dries... it's still sticky...
if it would be the same inside... should l wait until it's all dried up...?

How do I remove the cover on a motorola dct6412

Remove the security screws at the back. Then remove the metal cover on the left see if there are more screws behind. Look for any seal holding the top, then slide back and pull up the top. Here the pictures of disassembly.

Hi Good day!! try this turn off the printer pull out the power cord and usb cable, check the pathway of the print head maybe there is something the block in your printer that may cause your print head to not move perfectly. if all clean move the print head to the center, now re plug the power cord and turn back on your printer, reply if still the same.

LCD starts to display for about 2 seconds then goes dark.

lamp(s) perhaps.... with an LCD monitor (the desktop kind) you can shine a lite behind it. if you can see things on the screen it's the lamps... if you can't it's something else.

Slightly dropped seagate external hard drive, recover data??

Will the drive be shown under "Disk Management"? If no, make it. Then the MOST effective way is to try some so-called data recovery software to rescue the data.

First of ALL - Connect your hard drive to your personal computer. And install this software Wondershare Data Recovery on the computer in order to perform data recovery. Get the program from its site.
data recovery (for Windows OS)
Mac data recovery (for Mac OS X)

Good luck. I hope that my reply has shed some light on the problem!

Remember - Always make Backups of your precious data!
