Question about PC Desktops

I have sent an email to a Yahoo account, and I need to recall that email before it is read. This is IMPORTANT. I have already attempted to recall it through my Microsoft Outlook account from which it was sent, and that did not work. Is there a way that I can contact Yahoo directly and have them delete the email from that account?

Hi

I have posted this twice but for some reason it did not appear :) So here I am retyping it as you seem very concerned for that email.

1. Don't panic.
2. Ok so first of all you must have your sent emails in the SENT ITEMS from outlook.
3. Furthermore you should have the deleted emails in the detleted items folder. you should be able to find them there in BOTH YAHOO and Microsoft Outlook so you will be able to recover it from there.

Was glad to help you :)

Cheers

I don't think so, thats kinda like trying to stop the postman after he picked up the mail, its out of your hands now. I hope it wasn't personal info where someone could steal your Identity.

How do i login to my email address - I have an email address and a friend has sent me some mail.I have never logged in as yet.how do i chk my mail?

Can you please share who is your email service provider, example: Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook.com etc.? Also, whether you have created the email account by yourself or someone else has created it for you?
In either of the case, you need to have two important details to login to your account- your email id and the password associated with it. You can then login to your account by going to the website of your email service provider and filling in your credentials like the email ID and the password.

If you know only your email ID but do not remember the password associated with it, you have several options to recover the password. We can guide you better on these options once you share with us the name of your email service provider. But if you do not remember the email ID too, it may not be possible for you to access your account.

I have forgotten my email address how do I find it

Important information can sometimes be sent to an old email address that you no longer use.

For instance, if you registered a domain name, a website hosting account, a PayPal, or eBay account with an old email address but forgot to update your account when you switched email providers, then messages sent by those sites will be overlooked.

Finding old email accounts is not that difficult, especially because email users tend to use the same user name, or variations of it, for all email accounts.

If you know, or have an idea of what the old user name was, then retrieving, or changing the password is simple, but each email server uses a different user name or password retrieval method.

Call your internet provider and tell them you have forgotten your email account.

Give them your name and account number, found on your monthly statement.
In some cases the Internet provider will want to email this information to you.

Be sure they send the information to the alternate email address which you can access.
You don't want them to send messages to the email address you can't currently access.

The internet provider will ask you the security question you selected when signing up for the account.

If you can't remember what you selected, then the customer service representative may ask for a user name, your address, or the telephone number under which you registered the account.

Reset the password with the customer service representative over the phone.
The representative will help you change the user name if needed and reset the password so you can access the account again.
Yahoo Email

Go to the Yahoo mail page which asks you for your Yahoo ID.

Click on "I can't access my account."

Make the appropriate selection from the choices.
If you choose "I can't remember my user ID" then Yahoo will have you answer the "secret questions" they asked when you signed up.

These questions will be something like: "What was your first car?" or "Who was your third grade teacher?" If you answer coincides with the answer you gave when you signed up for the account.

Yahoo will give you your user ID.

After recovering your user ID, click on "I can't access my account" again and select "I can't remember my password," then click next and you will be taken to a change password screen, where you can change your password.

Start using your old Yahoo email account.
MSN Hotmail Email

Go to the Hotmail, or the MSN ID page, where it asks for your user name and password
Enter your user ID.

Unfortunately, MSN requires you to remember the user ID.

Click on "I have forgotten password"

Choose whether you want your password mailed to you or changed.
Unless you have registered a secondary email, if you choose email then the password will be sent to the account you can't access.

If you want to change password then you will be asked the security questions you specified when you registered the account.

Questions are something similar to, "Mothers birth place?" You may also be asked for your zip code, or address.

Enter a new password.

Enter anew password when the MSN ID page loads again and access your old email account.
Gmail Email

Access the Gmail ID page and click on "I can't access my account."

Choose the appropriate selection from the page that loads.
Options include, "I have forgotten my password" and "I have forgotten my user name."

If you select "I forgot user name," then click on "retrieve user name page," which you will see further down on the page.

Enter the alternate e-mail with which you registered the account.
The user name will be sent to that email.

Select "I have forgotten my password" If you know your user name then choose and click on "retrieve password" page.

Enter your user name on the page that comes up and then answer the confidential question that is asked.

Send password reset instructions to an alternate email and access your old Gmail email account.

Check your spam email folder if the email does not appear in your inbox.

Click the link in your email and answer any security questions by Facebook.
This brings back to the Facebook website.

Reset your password with a phrase you will remember mixed in with 1 to 2 numbers or more. Record this in a notebook or on a safe place.

Use a different password than you would for your email.

This decreases your chances of having both websites compromised.

I just want to begin writing e-mails. I have my e-mail address now how do I get up the e-mail format to write to friends?. I have phoned my close friend to write an e-mail to me so that I can reply and...

Firstly, who is your email account with..? if your account is with your Internet service provider, ask them which email software they would prefer you use. Most providers use Outlook or outlook express which is installed with Windows so go to Start and click on the Outlook express icon in the start menu. If you have not already done so, outlook will ask you to enter your email details like your account or email name and password etc and once done, you will then be able to download and read your mail.. If you are using a third party email service like Hotmail or Yahoo, use whichever browser you have and goto their website and click onto their mail login, enter your login details and your email inbox will appear, click on the emails you wish to read and off ya go !!!
Have fun..

I want to recall the last email sent

Hi Pete 1221,

If you are using Microsoft Outlook, then you can recall the email you sent by going to the "Sent Items" folder then open the message click on the ACTIONS menu on the top then choose "Recall This Message". It should be able to get the message back, unless the recepient already read the email.

I don't know about the programs, but some of the programs have something similar to this also, so you need to check HELP function of the program. For online emails like GMAIL or Yahoo! it usually doesn't have the option to retrieve the message back after you sent it in.

Hope this helps!

Peace! :)
