Did you check if this is not a keyboard layout issue. On raspbian wheezy, the password is "raspberry" and depending on the keyboard language settings the Y and Z keys may be swapped.

You don't say which version of Linux you're using. Make sure you have CUPS 1.2 installed and then search for either:

lexmark-inkjet-08-driver-1.0-1.i386.rpm.sh for RPM based systems (RedHat, CentOS)

or

lexmark-inkjet-08-driver-1.0-1.i386.deb.sh for Debian package type systems.

1. Check led power on raspberry
2. Check HDMI cable or try another one
3. On the TV settings check the correct HDMI port
4. Make sure you have some OS installed on raspberry PI
5. Try to connect it on another TV

Once you download it and try to run it, it might ask you for a missing library that needs to be installed. It depends on your destripution or Ubuntu release version. I am using 10.04 on my computer. If you get that message, here is the link to go and download this library from Debian site

Install the library then re-run the iscan program and you are done, enjoy. Just one more thing when you run the Iscan for the first time you will need to run it as root, to be able to search and find your scanner.

You need to add the following lines to /etc/apt/sources.list file or you need to make sure you have enabled Universe and multiverse repositories in /etc/apt/sources.list file
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
Make sure you have the following two lines save and exit your file
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu hardy universe multiverse
deb-src http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu hardy universe multiverse
Now you need to run the following command to update the source list
sudo apt-get update
Install mplayer using the following command
sudo apt-get install mplayer
if you want to open mplayer just type
gmplayer

Install libdvdcss2 and w32 video codecs in Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron)
Support for WMV, RealMedia and other formats has been bundled into the w32codecs package. This package is not available from the Ubuntu repositories due to licensing and legal restrictions.
For Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) Users run the following command
sudo wget http://www.medibuntu.org/sources.list.d/hardy.list -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/medibuntu.list
Then, add the GPG Key using the following commands
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install medibuntu-keyring

For i386 Users install Codecs using the following command

Using above download locations you can install most of the mutimedia codecs for ubuntu.
