Unable to view each other via newly installed QuickCam
I recently purchased two new Logitech Quick Cam for Skype. The software was installed using the disk that was provided. I updated my drivers on line but the other person has not. We are both using yahoo Messenger that has all the updates installed. Prior to the new year we were able to view each other but the audio wasn't working. Now in Jan When when requesting the other person to view our webcam the screen that should display the other person remains black. We both receive a message that the other is viewing our webcam but we do not have video. We are able to view ourselves using the quickcam function to make a video.

If you have been using the webcam in another location the software can remain hooked up on the previous location even if you exit the program correctly. Reboot the software by unplugging it from the USB for a couple of seconds Launch the Logitech toolbar Click on the Quick Capture menu ( 2 film frames ) to start your cam With the cam still running open 'Settings' menu ( 2 gear wheels ) and make your adjustments

We are sorry to hear that you are having problems with Skype video.
Thank you for contacting Skype customer support about your video settings.
If you are using a Logitech webcam, please follow the steps below:
NB! To begin with please close Skype and make sure that you have unplugged the webcamera before installing the installation software that came with it.
1) Go to the control panel and open Add/Remove programs. Then from there uninstall any Logitech webcam software and Logitech webcam drivers from the list shown.
2) Download the latest drivers for your webcam from http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/405/&cl=roeu,en?prodcrid=405
3) Open the webcam installer package by double clicking it.
Now select: Custom installation (advanced) and click next. You are now given a choice whether you would like to install the software and drivers or just the drivers. Please select the second option (Logitech QuickCam drivers) then uncheck 'Enable VoIP Device Management' and click 'Next'. Accept the agreements and on the next page select 'I do not want to activate this Service' (Logitech destkop Messenger). Click 'Next' and the Logitech drivers should be installed. Restart your system and plug in your webcam. Your webcam should now be correctly installed.
I have installed software, web Cam works fine.
Down loaded SKYPE ,but when speaking with another person ,I could see them and hear them OK, but they were unable to see me although sound communication was fine. Is this a web cam setting problem or Skype problem.
