Dell SK8110 keyboard not registering/not working/keys don't work

I am using this keyboard for the first time with my computer so i know the computer is not the problem. When I plug in the keyboard, lights flash on and off and none of the keys work. How do I program it?

did you check to see if the keyboard went with your sustem. If using VISTA you may have a mismatch of equipment Uninstall the keyboard, turn off your PC, see if the plug and play picks up a keyboard driver for it. if it asks for a CD driver install the one that came with the keyboard. this should correct the problem. if not, the keyboard may need to be exchanged for one that is compatable with your boot system.

-   The exact same thing just happened to me a few minutes ago. I use a Dell SK8110 keyboard as an external one for my laptop. It was working fine and then a couple of keys stopped working and then after trying to restart the entire keyboard stopped working. Disconnecting and reconnecting causes it to light up and then completely shut off. Hmmm... -   icedteaberry
