Question about Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) Console

1 Answer

Sticky Buttons firmware 3.10oe-a (upgraded to 3.40oe-a after problem started) whenever im playing a game my psp will "glitch" and start pressing buttons randomly. most notibly the home button which asks me to quit the game, the screen brightness control and the volume buttons. this can happen only once or can randomly spaz out for as long as 5 minutes. it happens when im using either the d-pad or the analog nub. it has been getting steadily worse and has now started affecting the xmb. i was going through the "themes" menu and when i press down on the dpad it sometimes would freeze or start moving up the list while the volume kept increasing and the screen started getting brighter/dimmer im not expecting any help with this as i have posted on several boards without a response but any help would be appreciated. thank you

The mem stick game goes off and the psp freezes!

there are two remedies for this problem 1st is your not using a firmware attached to this games .these are 6.00 firmware games so try to install 6.00 firmware and look iam sure the game will work,if your using custom firmware upgrade to 5.0 gen d2 and it will be ok 100% sure sometimes the games are patched to run in a firmware inferior than 6.00 so it will not play on 6.00 try downloading a non patched version (although i dont trust this remedy) if you think that i had spent sometime for your problem and did this for your sake rate this helpful and rate this helped you

I cant put games on my psp slim

if you have downloaded the firmware from the internet, that is really not advisable. it would be best to go the nearest gaming zone for updating firmware.
some firmware are not compatible and not updated. downgrade your firmware to a more stable firmware.

I cant play games in my psp memory stick after i updated to 5.2

Please check you update. If your update is low, you must upgrade it to 3.52 m33 then download a firmware 3.70 m33 or higher to get the m33 recovery.
As your PSP start press SELECT and you can see a menu then go to "UMD ISO MODE" from "normal" change it to "Sony NP9660" then exit.
Now enjoy playing ISO or CSO game. Happy playing.

Games not showing

Sounds like you had homebrew or similar firmware to play images (copied games) from your memory stick. Now that you have upgraded your firmware to an official Sony release these are no longer supported.
