Question about Dryers
The dryer has been squeeking for a few weeks but other than that running fine. After drying two loads today it sudenly stopped working. Power is ok, the light is on when I open the door and when I attempt to turn the knob to "start" there is a slight buzzing that makes it sound like it wants to start but doesn't.
You had a loose belt. Now you have a broken belt. You can buy a new belt at most hardware stores including Lowes & HD.
They are fairly easy if you are handy.
Remove cover, look for diagram showing belt alighnment (if equiped, some are so simple they don't need one) remove shredded belt and install new.
Dont forget to unplug it first.
