A fixed safe way to carry a Garmin GPS on a horse?

Look at the top right hand corner of that page where it says My Garmin click on that and create a new user account from there you can do your map updates or whatever you would like.

You always need a clear view of the sky... always a great idea to carry a paper map if you are leaving on a journey with you.

Garmin does not do free. If you bought a new unit - - brand new they give you one free update IF - and only IF - the maps on your new one isn't current.

try a software up grade fro www.garmin.com as 7 series has some soft ware updates , some phones as a pain as software is not fully comapatable, a software fix from your phone supplier may help, email garmin if your phone is compatable

Haven't heard of this issue but there's a lot of surplus stuff in the memory that can be safely deleted. Try connecting to the computer so you can see the files on the nuvi. Remove a lot of unnecessary voices and text languages. If you need Turkish or whatever in the future it can always be reloaded via the free Garmin WebUpdater. If you don't have WebUpater download it anyway (from the Garmin web site) as it's an easy way to check your GPS has the latest software and bug fixes.

The Garmin Edge requires that you press the start/stop button to record any data.
1. Before you start riding, press the start/stop button to begin recording.
2. Once you have finished riding, press start/stop button to end recording.
3. Create an account on connect.garmin.com and plug your unit in using the supplied USB cable and download your ride to view details on your cycling session.

On Garmin gps there is several ways to update your maps you can buy the sd update card, the cd, or upload it from the garmin website using a usb cord sold seperatly. the updates can range from $70 dollars to $120. I work at best buy and we carry all the updates for garmin

First you need to find out if there are any free updates available for you GPS. You can do this by going to www.google.com and typing in "free updates for Garmin Nuvi 200W" If there are any available you should find them here.

IF the receiver is still covered by the warranty perioid, get it repaired or replaced by garmin or your dealer.

I have not had one of these in my hands and i haven't taken one apart, but it can't be too difficult.

Map updates are available for purchase either from www.garmin.com, or from a local retailer that carries Garmin GPS products.44802
