Technology typically goes through drop tests before going to market and are rebust enough to handle regular ware and tare.
Chances are it is shot. If the product is still under warrantee see if the store or manufacturer will honor the warrantee.
If you are on a longterm contract you may be able to convince the Telephone Service Provider to give you a replacement FREE. Usually means locking in for another period of time and may not have the same features.

there is no way to tell. Ins. will not attempt to determin the cause or time of the damage... they just replace the unit, not fix it. Maybe ,instead of claiming water damage... you could "lose" the phone , then there are no worrys.

If you know where the settings are in your menu delete them and call your service provider, ask them to send you the settings for Internet/WAP/MMS not all together, do one at a time. They are sent as a txt msg, when you receive the txt, select Save or Install.
You can't inter change the SIM card to another service provider. without changing the Internet/MMS/WAP settings.
