Your machine will only recognize the 5x7 hoop. The giga hoop is two 5x7 hoops next to each other.
When you pull up the design on the screen it will show 2 hoops.
Each hoop will be one half of the design. One design will be upside down from the other. That's the way it should be. After stitching out one side of the design, turn the hoop, and stitch the upside down part.
Page 39 of your manual makes no refeference to the gigahoop, only "A" and "B"
The original software for the 300e was developed before the gigahoop came along, so it is probably just a simple matter of upgrading.scroll down this page....
JANOME Update Link
You may also like to check with the Janome Dealer where you bought the machine whether they would update for you.
Try downloading the updates for your software from Janome Global, downloads, software. Version 1 needs patches to make it compatible with XP. The most current Version for the 10000 software is 2.21, and the upgraded program is Digitiser pro/MB , a much more stable and far easier version to work with. The upgrade has to be purchased via a dealer or direct from Janome.
This must be wrong. As long as you have the dongle, and its an original one. Janome should swap it for a new one. You might have to pay for the exchange but it should be aloot cheeper than buying a new.
If not, send me an email on tonje (at) tonje . no and I will give you a good price for a new Digitizer Pro v.2.0
