Question about Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9549L Top Load Washer

1 Answer

Clothes still wet after final spin

It doesn't do this every single time but probably 75% of the time unless you rinse in hot water but if rinsed in cold water it almost always leaves clothes wet

Possible timer or drain problems.. ok.. when your washer is in rise.. before it goes into final spin.. it stop agitating, then drain water for about a minute or two.. listen to see if stop drain for a sec, then began to spin... when it come to draining.. make sure that you hear all the water flow out of your washer.. sometimes when you have a slow drain.. that can do it too.. but the first possible is likely.. good luck

I have a Frigidaire front load washer and used dishwashing soap accidentally. now it wont spin in the final spin leaving the clothes soaking wet

Hello, Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your post I understand you have a problem with a Frigidaire washer that has had the wrong "soap" placed in it.

If you can remove the lower panel on the front you should inspect and insure the shock absorbers are still intact and not broken before proceeding. This is what you'll be looking for...(yours may in fact be plastic cylinder type shocks, that's the older version)

If they are not broken then it should be safe to proceed. Here's what I'd suggest (see below).

Let me know how that works for you and we can move forward from there if this doesn't resolve the problem.

When oversudsing has occurred, have the washer cleaned out by running it without clothing using a hot water wash (with cold water rinse) & ½ gallon of white vinegar. If problem persist after, run a cold water rinse using 1 gallon of white vinegar.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

Washer will not do Final spin. the time stays on one minent for about 8 mins with no final spin

If the clothes are extracted of water it very well mean your timer needs adjusted slightly, If not, timer needs replaced. Remember, not 100% of your rinse water will be extracted so don't expect it to be hand touch dry when you remove load. But it should not be dripping wet or soaked either

The water runs during the spin cycle. The clothes

Does the water run through the ENTIRE spin cycle? There is a period where the water will run during the spin; This is called, the "Final Rinse". But it usually only runs for about 10 seconds then stops.

After final rinse and spin cycle clothes are still wet

I can't solve this but am having a similar problem. There is no water in the tub but the spin cycle does not get enough water out of the clothes and they're very wet. This causes the towels especially... to smell really bad. The tub is very loose. How can this be fixed.

Washing machine does not drain during rinse cycle?

Turn timer to rinse cycle. let fill up and agitate. when it stops agitating it should pause then start to pump water out. After about 2 minutes it should pause for 3-5 seconds then start again and spin. If it starts the first time and never stops it will just continue to pump but no spin. The 3-5 second pause allows the transmission to shift to spin. If it does not do this the problem is your timer. You may need to do this a few times to verify the problem.

If that is not the problem it is likely that you need a new clutch. You will need a technician to install a new clutch for you

Won't complete cycle, stops at rinse. and can't get hot water.

Are you on well water? turn off the cold water to the washer and clean the screen filter out. do not leave filter out.
the machine probably has a cold only final rinse so it won't work properly.

Kenmore washer series 80, Clothes still soapy

If you are getting no water spray during the rinse cycle that would cause the soapy clothes issue.

Are you getting cold water during the wash/rinse cycles? If you have the machine set to warm/warm you may only be getting hot water while the final spin is calling for cold.

If you have cold water available then the timer is not calling for the water spray. The problem is either in the mixing valve or the timer.

Spin cycle not removing enough water from clothes

your manual states that it can be caused by cold rinses and or spin cycle not getting completed. please try to rinse in hot or warm and see if that does not solve your problem

The 3 buttons

button selection : To select an option press the button and you will see a light come on above the button. Press again to cancel and the light will go out. You cannot alter the options once the machine is running. Note : remember to cancel buttons after use!

As you look at the machine
Left hand button... Rinse Hold.. use this option to Help reduce creasing of delicate or synthetic fabrics by holding clothes in the final rinse water. The rinse hold light will flash to indicate that the programme is holding final rinse water. Complete the final spin by pressing the Rinse Hold button when light is flashing.
This is not available with Wool or Spin only programmes.

Middle Button.... Energy Save... use this option to save money and time on lightly soiled loads. This is not available with the Quick Wash, Rinse and Spin, or Spin Only programmes.

Right Hand Button .... Super Rinse... use this option for Large Wash loads and items for young children or people with sensitive skin. This option increases the water level for the first two rinses. This is not available with Cold Wash, Rinse and Spin or Spin Only programmes.

Copied from my Hotpoint FEW12 user instruction sheet.
Hope it helps.

Kenmore Washing Machine doesn't rinse

The drain line is probably clogged. Maybe that a small sock or other piece of clothing get between the clothes tub and the outer tub that holds the water. Check as well that pump spins and clean from any clogged. Good luck!
