Question about HTC Touch Diamond Smartphone

Can't sync contact and calender items to outlook 2007

I encounter a sync problem between HTC Touch Diamond and laptoip. My laptop runs on Vista 32-bit and installed with WMDC 6.1.6965 and outlook 2007 of trial version.

It has no problem setting up parnership with my Diamond which is powered by WM 6.1. And it can even 'complete' a synchronisation with Diamond without error messages but in reality, none of the contacts and calendar events are ever copied over to the outlook on my laptop.

I did the following but to no avail :
*uninstall and reinstall WMDC
*uninstall and reinstall outlook2007
*consulted HTC customer service which runs windows XP and sync successfully all details from my Diamond

Someone with insights on this problem please share your experience. Thanks a lot!

First off, please don't give me a bad rating, as I don't have Vista, and this is simply a guess..

Secondly, Look around in the settings in WDMC, maybe there is a setting to copy contacts on device onto outlook on the PC. Don't bother looking in outlook since the device usually sync with Activesync/WDMC, which does the rest it self.

I need htc touch viva driver

Drivers are included with the microsoft software you use to sync eg.
Windows Mobile Device Centre. WMDC.
Or
Microsoft active sync.

You can get 32 bit version of WMDC ...HERE... 64 bit ...HERE...
and Microsoft Active Sync 4.5 ...HERE...

Although Microsoft seem to be having issues with the connection of HTC's to their software and their help department doesn't appear to be much help.

If you already have the software installed. Try uninstalling and downloading fresh copies and re-install.
Also make sure you clear your partnerships in your phone as HTC only allow 2 sync partnerships.

I have a Ipaq 2200 version 4.2 2003 will it active sync with windows7

In order to sync your iPAQ with Windows Vista or Windows 7, you will need to download and install Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/downloads/microsoft/device-center-download.mspx.

Notes
  • To find out whether your version of Windows Vista or Windows 7 is 32-bit or 64-bit, click Start, right-click Computer, and then click Properties. The version is listed after System Type.
  • You can use Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 only with phones running Windows Mobile 2003 or later. ActiveSync and Windows Mobile Device Center won’t work with Windows Embedded CE 4.2 or 5.0, Pocket PC 2002, or Smartphone 2002 devices. (To see which Windows Mobile operating system you’re using, and if your phone doesn’t have a touch screen, click Start > Settings > About. If your phone has a touch screen, click Start > Settings > System tab > About.) To sync content to any of these devices, you must use a USB or serial cable and your computer’s Internet connection and File Explorer.
  • You must use Microsoft Outlook 2002, Outlook 2003, or Office Outlook 2007 to sync your e-mail, contacts, tasks, and notes from your computer.
  • You must use a USB cable to connect your phone to your computer the first time you use Windows Mobile Device Center to sync.

Contacts do not sync with my phone

In your phone go to START-Settings-Connections-USB to PC. When there choose ActiveSync and make sure that "Enable advanced..." isn't ticked. Then open WMDC and end partnership. Restart PC open WMDC and do new partnership.

How can I Connect my HTC p3400i with my laptop

with an USB-miniUSB cable torught active sinc ( windows XP ) or Sync Center (windows vista and windows 7). The main problem is that you need to install the windows mobile device center. On XP is easy ... insert the disc in youre CD drive and install the software. In Visla you will have to download the Windows Mobile Device Center from microsofts download center ( requires windows authentification and if youre windows is not licensed you will fail to authentificate and so to download the WMDC ) i will make a upload with the WMDC on filefactory so you could install it safely. Works in Vista 7 and XP but in XP you have to install ActiveSync first ( from the CD witch came with the phone.. if i remember right it's the "Getting Started" disc )
http://www.filefactory.com/file/ag7afgd/n/drvupdate-x86_exe this is where you can download the WMDC for PDAs

Unable to sync contacts from outlook to htc diamond

Hi. In the sync options, there should be a couple of different options such as selecting either the phone or the outlook for the master of the contacts. So if you can change the option to copy contacts from outlook to phone (should be reverse in order to continously backup phone data) I think that tick will be seen when you got all your contacts to your phone. Hope this helps.

Contacts copy from Nokia E50 to HTC touch

You don't need Sprite back up to sync contacts. All you need is ActiveSync 4.5 (for WinXP) or WMDC (for Vista). When installed connect your htc device and follow onscreen instruction. You can choose in settings what to sync.
