Stop button problem

Dear Sir, Since few months, my gr-dvp1 undergoes a certain issue. When playing a cassette (play mode),there is not any particular problem but when I try to stop the play mode by the stop touch(d-sound) the cassette never stops but the volume scale dislpays on the screen. Could you please help me to resolve this problem. Thanks Rawgen

Re: Stop button problem

This was a common failure with this model and requires replacement of the control block assemble. This is an assembly with several functions tied together in one preformed unit with a flexible cable arrangement. This ordinarily is a pro repair situation. They have an upgraded part for this. Could be a bit pricey however. Good luck, magic seadog

How do I clean the head when it gives you an alert?

two ways, buy a mini dv cleaning cassette, two if you do not have one, put the cam in play mode, hit play, than fast forward button for a min, the tape going fast sometimes cleans the head. not just fast forward but play, than ff so the tape is hitting the head, other than that, the cam has to be taken apart and the heads cleaned with the proper cleaning solution and PROPER brush as not to hurt the fragile heads

Insert memory card, set to camera mode and set to memory, then hit the E-MAIL/INFO button and then you can press rec start/stop button as if your are recording on tape. It is a low quality video(email clip). To play, slide the power button to PLAY and press select(beside E-MAIL Button) and choose E-MAIL CLIP. Thats it. Good Luck

I have a blue screen during playback mode on my Sony DCR-HC32. I am not able to see anything I recorded. What should I do?

Follow this procedure to troubleshoot if a blue screen is displayed when attempting to playback video from the camcorder.
  1. Stop the tape.
  2. Ensure the tape has been rewound to the beginning of the video recording.
  3. Play the tape.
  4. If the issue is not resolved, stop the tape and remove it from the camcorder.
  5. Clean the video heads of the camcorder using a dry head cleaning cassette.IMPORTANT: Follow the instructions for use provided with the head cleaning cassette. It may be necessary to use the head cleaning cassette more than once per session.
  6. Reinsert the tape into the camcorder.
  7. Play the tape.
  8. If the issue is not resolved, stop the tape and remove it from the camcorder.
  9. Insert a different tape with video footage into the camcorder.
  10. Ensure the tape has been rewound to the beginning of the video recording.
  11. Play the tape.

Shows fault E04 remove & reattach battery

Do a search of this problem and you will ind that every JVC owner is having the same problem. I finally got mine "reset" by powering the unit on in payback mode while holding down the "play" button. Then, turn it back off and power it on in the camera mode while holding down the "rec" button. This seems to have reset it and I've not had anymore issues SO FAR!
Good luck with it.

JVC Camcorder

Put an used casette inside; hit PLAY and then FFWD until you start seeing images. Eventually you will start seeing some with lines and then the black lines will get smaller and smaller until they turn into grainy lines. Stop and PLAY again and they will faint. RWD and PLAY back as you wish and it should be find. I think this is because of tiny dirt particles that your cassette will dust off for you.
