Question about D-Link 802.11g Wireless Router WBR-1310 (WBR1310)

Restart D-Link WBR-1310 w/ Mac... Intall CD doesn't open...

I was having issues with my digital broadband box
-the router was working fine-
I ran Network Diagnostic on my Macbook Pro...
It told me to restart the digital broadband box.
I accidentally restarted the router instead.

Now it's not working!

My old roommate installed it on her computer, which is a PC, so it has been installed previously & did work 1/2 an hour ago...

The power is on & solid.
The little triangle inside of a circle light is blinking.
#1 is flashing quickly.

Can I fix this w/o the CD?

*if it matters, I have an RCA digital broadband box & internet though Comcast.

Resetting the Modem again didn't fix it.

  • eliza_vf Jan 07, 2009

    I did that...

It didn't make my network come up on the wireless options in Airport... The router looks the same as I described above.

Pressing Reset on the back of the Modem is not the solution. sorry.

A number of things can cause this, which we refer to it as "Tiling", first and foremost your setup. Make sure that you are connecting from the wall outlet directly to the digital box and then to your next piece of equipment. If you put a VCR/DVD player before your digital box, you can cause problems with the signal levels that the digital box is receiving.
If your digital box is the first connected piece of equipment, make sure that your connections are tight on both the wall plate and the back of the digital box. If you have another piece of RG-6 co-axial cable, you may want to swap out your cables for new ones just to make sure your other cables aren’t the cause.
If you are connecting through a splitter or power strip, attempt to bypass the splitter/power strip and connect directly to the digital box. If you notice that this fixes the problem it is likely due to that piece of equipment not having a built in ‘return path’, which allows 2-way communication for the digital box.
After you have verified that your digital box is the first piece of equipment hooked up,, you have checked your connections to make sure they are nice and snug, and you are not connecting through splitters or power strips, if you are still having problems, please contact there technical support at (785)841-2100 or (800)869-1214. good luck its free

Mam, try resetting it on the router device itself and do the settings what you did before after you reset it. Otherwise contact your internet provider for that matter of connection.

thank you for using fixya

How to setup d-link wbr 1310

Are you trying to set up router ?
You can set up your router manually, without the CD.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online directly through the modem.
If your computer is able to go online through the modem, that means the modem is working fine.
You will need to connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router.
open the set up page of the router and change the settings of the router according to the ISP.

Everything on my D-Link WBR 1310 has been working fine for over a year. All of a sudden, it is not broadcasting on wireless. All the green icons are lite up except (((. I've powered off and pressed reset,...

Its frustrating when things go bad just past the warranty. However there is one thing you can try first.Try to find an update for the router's firmware. Then go into the router's administration, click on update firmware and browse for the firmware file you have downloaded. This will update the firmware and automatically restart the router. See if it fixes the issue. If it does not I'm afraid that you will have to get a new router.

Hopefully it works,
Sai.

If you can't find a CD just visit the D-Link support page for your router and you can download most of the stuff that was on the CD. This would include the product manual, the latest firmware and helpful FAQ's.

This page is located at http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=WBR-1310 .

WIFI & WBR 1310

Fix your router again. If the wifi is fine, you just have to let the nintendo search for the wireless network and connect to it. You don't have to do anything on the router to let your nintendo to connect.

With the router plugged in, press and and hold the reset button for 12 seconds, then let go. You should see the router restart - lights go off, then come back on and flicker for about 60 seconds.
