Memory disappearing due to WVHP

HELP!! I have lost about 15GB of memory in only a month on my new laptop. Icontacted Toshiba with this problem and they told me that a large number of people have been experiencing the same problem, and it has come down to the Windows Vista Home Premium package. They also said that the problem can most likely be resolved through Microsoft. Can you help me, please ? Thank you- Sandra

I had the same problem and found out that Vista was backing up my computer every day and creating a new backup file,I turned off the system restore feature and deleted all but the most recent restore point and that fixed it,I turned the restore feature back on and as of now all is well.

If they are on the internal memory, they will show up when there is no card in the camera. If you would like to keep these pics, there is a feature called "copy" in the menu which allows you to copy the internal memory to a memory card.

Make sure your memory is the correct speed for this model, if it's not, the system won't boot.

It's either the memory on the 2nd slot is faulty or loose, try to reseat the memory and check if you will get the same error message if it does then try to remove the said memory on your laptop and check if the error will message will disappear then you can already tell that the memory card on bay 2 or slot b needs replacement.

Battery Problem

seems to be the issue of memory effect, a new toshiba laptop battery should be totally discharged, in another word, u should run the laptop until it auto shutdown,if u have not do this,it doesn't matter, do now, than over charge the battery for 4-5 hours, the memory effect may disappear.
