there is a sunken button between the chronograph start/stop and the winding crown.
Using a pointed object such as a ballpoint pen, push the sunken pusher gently until the moonphase moves one step, (if you press the pusher completely in, it will also advance the calendar hand, so only press enough to move the moonphase and no more for moonphase adjustment)

Unfortunately the Vivitar DVR 410 Camcorder does not have a time/date stamp feature, therefore does not have a menu option to set time/date.

Try the old "reset" trick. Remove your battery. Turn your rotary switch to the playback position. Find the little reset button on the camera body and hold it down with a ballpoint pen and at the same time hold down the record button. Hold both buttons for 10 seconds. Then put your battery back in and try to see if that corrects your problem. Nimsgame

Try the simple fix first. Take out your battery, turn the camera to the play position. Then with a ballpoint pen, hit the little reset button located on your camera and hold down the record button at the same time. Hold both for 10 seconds. This resets the motherboard to defaults. It also messes up your time and date. See if this helps. If not try a new cable between your camera and where your trying to produce your image. Still no good? Click GetSysTime.exe to update the date and time, the
time of the camera will synchronize with the time of computer after restart of
camera upon reconnecting.

Right above the 'CLOCK ADJUST' there is a small hole, you need to push a ballpoint pen or something into that hole, to allow you to set the clock using the - and + buttons next to it. Then press the pen into that hole again in order to finalize the time.
