Question about Maytag MAH6500 Neptune Front Loading Washer w/Built in Water Heater
Machine was in final 1 minute before being finished and the Code Hr came up. This code refers to the built in heating unit. Which has never been used. When I called Maytag they could not tell me how to reset this code. HELP any ideas. purchased new march 2006.
When starting the spining cycle I could observed that the pump's cable touch the metal floor. When that happen the "Hr" error code appear inmediately. Conclusion: With years of use the cable's insulation was wear out. I strap the cable so it can not touch the metal and problem solved. Hint: You should also check the dampers (4) for excesive wear.

This is joyce:
have you tried just unpluging the unit from the wall and waiting for 1 min and repluging it into the wall, this usually resets any codes. if not I will be happy to research this for you, infact I am doing it now while we speak, you try the simple method first. and let me know how that goes. my name is joyce
