Network Timeout error - HP Pavillion ZV6000 Notebook

Network Timeout error.... Going crazy! Up until about a week ago, I was able to access www.packratwiki.com without a problem. Now, I am getting a network timeout error. None of the computers in my house will connect to the site. I found a previous post about this, but none of the solutions have worked for me.

Not able to connect to wifi

Get closer to the router and see if it sees the network and tries to connect. Hopefully you have the network key or password in correctly or it will never connect.

Make sure you have the wireless switch on the laptop turned on. It is located on the sides or in front of the laptop.

Maybe you need to reinstall the wireless drivers.
Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "AcerSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Download and install the Network drivers.

I have a toshiba A305-S6905 notebook with an A/G/N wireless adapter, but won't connect to an 802.11n network

Check the information that came with the router or access point to find out what connection mode the device is set to. The mode should be either ad hoc (when devices communicate directly without going through a router or access point) or infrastructure (when devices communicate by going through a router or access point). Make sure the setting in Windows for this network matches the setting on the device. To check this, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Command Prompt window by clicking the Start button 4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33_47.png, clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, and then clicking Command Prompt.

  2. Type netsh wlan add filter networktype=network type.

Where network type is either adhoc or infrastructure.

  3. The router or access point is busy.
  4. The network you are looking for is set to not broadcast its network name (SSID).
  5. Your network administrator is blocking access to certain networks.
  6. The wireless network adapter is in monitor mode. Was this helpful?

My hp dv5215us laptop monitor broke several months ago. I've been using the computer with an external monitor plugged in to the vga port, but I turned it on today and the external monitor isn't...

Hardware failure of the motherboard - most likely something went wrong with the northbridge.
The repair will cost way more than it's worth, this laptop is effectively dead, time for a new one

Can not remember window's password, also Admin has been disabled. How can I unlock it?

The Windows Login Password can be changed only if you have an access to Windows.

If you have another Admin User Account, you can try logging into other account to change the password.

If the computer is not booting to windows, then you can perform system recovery to restore the computer to factory settings.

The system recovery process will erase all the data in computer and restore the computer to factory settings.

You can restart the computer and press the F8/F10 key at start up to access the recovery partition. Once you access the recovery partition, you can perform c drive recovery in your computer to resolve this issue. Below is the link with the details to perform system recovery in your computer:

Dell Inspiron 1501 10/100 network port not working. I have installed driver and have known good cable in port. Worked until 2 weeks ago. Lights don't blink, onboard LAN turned on in BIOS.

Sounds like a failed NIC.

Things to try:
  1. Flash the BIOS to current version if not already done.
  2. Reset BIOS Defaults
  3. If NIC still doesn't work, try a system restore to a time when it worked.
  4. If that fails, most likely a hardware failure.

Intel 2915abg on Inspiron 9300...Help?

In most cases this is generally a driver glitch, but since you have done the uninstall/reinstall of the drivers, I'm going to say that the wireless card has malfunctioned. The wireless card works off of frequency, and receives in a certain preset FCC regulated frequency range, thus the term radio in the wireless settings. Occasionally the radio will malfunction and lose the ability to receive certain frequencies, but pick up others perfectly fine. Some wireless networks will let you see the frequency that it's broadcasting on, so, if you can see the broadcast frequency, compare the different networks, and I'll bet that you find the one you are receiving is different from the rest. If this is the case, then you will need to replace the card in order to get the full range that it is supposed to receive, and pick up the other networks.

Wireless network button not working.

What operating system did you reload? Support for Compaq is under HP now.
You need to load the Compaq Quick Launch application. For XP, probably this one:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-31502-1&lc=en&cc=us&lang=en&os=228&product=500508&dlc=en
Otherwise, go here and choose your EXACT model. V2000 is a bit generic; there are several sub models:
http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Lookup?h_lang=en&h_cc=us&cc=us&h_page=hpcom&lang=en&h_client=S-A-R163-1&h_pagetype=s-002&h_query=v2000
While you are at it, you should get all the other drivers you need from there, too. Lots of downloading, but it's worth it to take full advantage of all the features.

Wireless private network?

Best is to go and ask them directly and also its illegal to do so without asking. Yes there are many ways but all the way you need basic of network(IP,WEP, firewall,security,..) and many other things.SO i don't think its worth trying to hack other password unless you're going to take this serious for making money.
takecare.
