I think that its either a problem with your power supply or an incredible screwed up convergence press menu if its incredibly red its probably a convergence problem. if thats the case get cheap laser eye surgery and stand really close to the tv till you can make out the first time setup menu convergence then either cancel or menu to reset it to factory defaults press the button several times for the right result

My R45W46 Projection TV start up with a dull red screen with some retrace scan lines on the top, sound comes up with a blast then the set goes off withthe power light remaining on.

Look to the area where the picture tubes are, especially the red on--if red screen is set too high and screen is red with trace lines it will trigger the set off as the tube is pulling too much current.

It could be the red tube itself, a issue on the red crt board or simply the red screen control needs to be turned down a bit.

TV Has grean red and Blue lines going through it.

Yes this can be fixed. It is a common problem caused by a failure of the "convergence" circuit. Sometimes in this particular set, just a bad solder connection can cause this (though no shop will admit it). Other times its just a simple part on the Deflection board. The repair should run around $300

Sony kv35s66: No picture, just sound and red blinking

This should be a quick fix. Try resoldering the vertical IC. This is a small flat IC attached to a heat sink with about 11 pins. It should be marked LA7837 or something similar. That should resolve the problem.

Keep us posted.
