Silicone does not properly stick to my charlotte maax corner shower, poor adhesion

The surface wasn't clean enough. It needs to be SUPERBLY clean, with absolutely no soap residue, because silicone won't stick to soap. After cleaning normally with ammonia water, just before applying silicone, wipe the surface down with rubbing alcohol and dry it off with toilet paper. Then the silicone should adhere better.

Trunk light will not turn off

Hello,

Was the humidity high in the area where you live for a long period of time (a week)?

If Yes: I had a similar problem with one of my vehicles--I would shut all the doors and my running lights and inside lights would stay on. The computer thought a door was open because of a sensor.
Solution: For my solution I bought some silicone spray and lubricated each and every latch point on the doors and hatch. The high humidity causes the latches to stick not allowing full mechanism travel thus giving a false reading to the computer.
If No: You could try cleaning the sensors--unplugging them--cleaning every contact point and reconnecting. If this works even for a short time then there is an intermittent problem with the sensor--replace the sensor. If cleaning does not show a change the sensor could still be bad.
OR--there could be a ground problem between the dash and sensor telling the computer there is an open loop. Cause of grounding issue--micro-friction--relating to the constant motion of a wire rubbing on metal wearing through outer wire coating causing internal wire to make contact with a metal surface thus grounding the loop permanently or intermittently.

I hope this helps,

Doug

My friend was going to wax her legs and was warming the wax up in the microwave when it bubbled over and made the wax bowl stick. Pulling to get it out she spilt it everywhere , in microwave , on my...

since it is a sticky wax and not paraffin or candle wax do not reheat it to remove it. Get an ice pack or stick some ice cubes in a ziplock bag and rub on the wax until it freezes/gets cold enough to crack. It should come off of all of those surfaces pretty easily once it has been cooled enough not to be sticky.

Hi
Well, I really think you may find the problem only between two things: Caliper, pads or brake shoes, Beacuse I guess If you bought new drums you bought new shoes too didn't you? But if you're sure it is in front disk, then, you just have to check, you got the right caliper and pads and check the caliper is well adjusted and installed I hope this helps good luck!

I have a black sticky residue on the non stick surface of my cooks essentials 12 inch frying pan. I can not clean it off and the non stick properties of the pan is gone, I think due to this surface...

Go to epinions.com, type your product and find you are not alone. Besides, as there is no cure to baldness there is no such thing as a perennial non stick pan. All coatings invented eventually succumbs to the wear and tear produced by temperature changes, contact with food and related chemistry, detergents, scrapping, etc. Consider the possibility that some of that non stick material may be ingested unconsciously.

Just bought this car I can't open the trunk with ignition key

It either has had the trunk replaced and the old cylinder wasn't installed, or the key you're using is the valet key. See if you can lock/unlock the glovebox. If you can't you're using the valet key. If you can, your trunk lock cylinder is not original.

I have a 2002 Dodge Neon, 4 cyl, automatic. Water is leaking into the trunk and under back passenger seats. Is this only from tail lights as suggested online?

I would check the trunk seal first.

1. Thoroughly clean the seal and the surface it touches with windex.

2. Apply a semi thin layer of grease to the seal, you don't want alot just enough to transfer to the other surface when you close the trunk.

3. Close trunk completely and then reopen and examine the grease pattern on the surface it touches.

If there is a break or a messy spot (smear) in the pattern that is where the water might be leaking on from.

Waffle mix spilled over entire waffle maker, inside and out

If it is a non-stick surface brushing cold water on with a pastry brush while it is still ver hot and immediately after removing the food will clean the surface easily. As for the outside, if it is a painted surface a non- abrasive cloth with warm water could possible clean it. I would not recommend pulling it apart.
