IF your balance is correct on your cd player and youve got good connections on both wires the speakers should work unless the front two channels are fried then theres no sound. I would try getting two extra pieces of wire 2 feet atleast and hook them up to the front two channels and to an extra speaker if youve got one then go from there.
Sounds like you have either a short in your speaker wire somewhere, wires touching in the back of the unit or a short inside the stereo itself... Try pulling the radio out and unhooking all of your speakers...Turn unit back on after all speakers are disconected...If unit still shows protect, then radio is bad...If it doesnt, power off and hook up speakers one by one and power it back on till it shows protect again....When it does, the last speaker wire you hooked up has either a crossed wire or the speaker is bad...
the pink wire is for amplifier and ur car must have one built in side under the dash or in the back or ur car or suv try to see if u might have one cause if it does not have power going to it ur speakers will not work i hope this helps.
the message you are getting is "amp guard". This is the mesage it will display when a short in a speaker wire or speaker with low impedence is hooked to the internal amp and sends it into protect mode, shutting down the amplifier section while the rest of the unit continues to work.
Check your Factory speaker locations for blown speakers or bare wires to metal.
After all connections are completed correctly - Press the RESET button. The RESET button on the housing must be activated with either a ballpoint pen or similar pointed object. The RESET button is to be activated for the following reasons: • Initial installation of the unit after all wiring is completed. • Some the function buttons do not operate. • Error symbol appears on the display.
