Print out your config settings on the printer.

go to add a printer, set it as a local attached printer, and set the port to TCP/IP. From there enter in the IP Address of the printer that you are trying to print to from the config page i had you print out.

After that is completed install the print drivers and you are good to go.

Sure, I can help. First off I need to know more information. Are you planning on connecting the printer, through USB, to your laptop then sharing the printer from there to other computers? If so, it is a matter of adding that printer, going into the printer properties, sharing tab, and sharing the printer. Or are you trying to share your printer wirelessly? If so you may need to buy a wireless print server. It acts as a base to share that printer and then allow you to wirelessly find it and connect. If the above doesn't help please tell me the make and model of your printer, laptop, and wireless router.

I have a mac, a printer and an ipad2 connected to my wireless network. lately i have been losing my internet connection a few times an hour all day long.. I have no idea what is wrong, when i unplug it and...

I had the same problem, and my issue was the printer. Every time i connected the printer using a wireless scan on the printer to connect to the router, it would kick my laptop out. Try disconnecting the printer and rebooting the router(Do this first, start it up and then do the next step with the printer off if you're still having problems). Do a factory reset on the router as well, but you have to set everything up again(i did that a couple of times). Hold reset button for ten seconds then let it reboot if you want to go that route. Once you reboot the router(try the simple boot first), leave the printer off and try and run your mac and ipad2 for a couple of hours and see if they stay connected and there are no interruptions. If they still do the same, then do a factory reset like noted above and try again. If they work ok, then the printer is conflicting with your other devices. The way i fixed mine was to connect my printer to the router using the manual method. You have to go to the dlink administrator login, go to setup, click wireless settings, then click add wireless device with WPS, click on manual, then go to your printer and go to wireless settings, click on manaul connection and it should give you a pin number. Now hit start scan on dlink page and then go on wireless printer and have them pair up. It's a lot, but it worked for me and hopefully it works for you. good luck

How can I add a brother 145 printer so all laptops in the house can use it wireless

This model printer has only an USB printer connection and normally connected to a computer or laptop.
To connect this printer wirelessly to all laptops on your wireless network there are a couple of methods.
Connect the printer to a desktop computer and setup the printer as a shared printer. Next connect the desktop computer to your wireless router with a LAN cable and then configure the wireless laptops to connect to the shared printer on the desktop computer. NOTE - This desktop computer and printer must be on at all times for the wireless laptops to print to the printer.
OTHER METHOD
Connect the printer to an USB print server and connect the print server to the wireless router with a LAN cable. The printer drivers needs to be installed on all the wireless laptops and then the printer port needs to be deleted from the USB port and a new IP address printer port installed. This IP address will be the IP address of the print server.

I want to know if my 2wire 2701HG-B supports WPS or AOSS? I'm trying to connect my laptop to my wireless printer but it goes through a Wireless Network which is my 2wire router obviously. If my router...

As long as you do not have your laptop set up on teh 2701HG-B's DMZ everything should work. I have the 2701HGV-B, almost the same except my can do VoIP, and I have my laptop running wirelessly and I can connect to the network printer.

Make sure the printer has a static IP address for your local LAN, which should be in the 192.168.X.X scope, or the printer will change IP addresses every time it resets and that will cause you to lose connection to it from the laptop.

As for WPS, there should be a sticker on the side of teh 2-Wire that has a 6 digital key number, all numbers no letters, that will be the WPS key.

Hope that helps.

I can not get me HP laptop to connect wireless to my HP 3055 printer. All the other laptops we have will connect except this one.

Hi Good Day,

Try going to printers then add a printer then choose network printer and follow all the step that the installation wizard will show on your screen.
make sure that you installed the driver on your HP laptop.
try disabling your firewall on this particular HP laptop for most of the firewall will definitely not allow you to connect to another wireless device.

if this will not work try calling HP printer support for further advance troubleshooting.

Setting up wireless printers can be such a hassle!
The quickest solution is to let the router sync the mac address itself, don't worry about the details of it all. Easiest way is to start wired, before you go wireless.
When setting up the printer to work with that wireless router, hook your printer up directly to the router/computer the router is connected to. This will allow for the printer/router to recognize each other and establish a connection. Then, when you use a wireless connection (wireless on laptop/ on printer also), they will recognize each other and you'll be able to connect.
This is much less of a hassle than trying to set up wirelessly.
Best of luck!

IN the case of the Mac what I have had to do in the past was shut down the other laptops and computers, delete the printer program from the Mac and start over. During the setup of the printer make sure nothing is connected to the printer. Only connect what you are instructed to at the appropriate time. It will eventually ask you how you are going to connect to the printer from that particular printer, answer ethernet cable and attach the ethernat cable to the printer from your router, make sure your laptop is connected to the router with an ethernet cable. Always set your computer up to the printer vis a hard line, then onve it is done you can swap over to a wireless setup. Once the setup is complete and a test print is accomplished bia ethernet cable, then disconnect the cable from the laptop to the router. Once you are connected to the network wirelessly, attempt another test page, you have already set the printer up at this point to be your default printing device so the laptop will find the printer on the network and initiate it. You may have to watch close for a pop up window asking to allow the connection or access to the program. Maybe think about dropping the firewall temporarily until the connection is secure.

WEP key fro netgear DG834G v3 WIRELESS ROUTER/MODEM

Okay, first you will need to access your router (usually 192.168.0.1 or something like that) you will be asked for a user name and password. (admin password respectively if you never set these up previously)

From there you would click on Wireless Settings and scroll down to WEP Key. Whatever is typed in Key 1 is your WEP key. Write that down. Plug in those numbers for your printer and you should be go to go.
