Sharp XE-202A, How to clear out yearly total back to zero

I can not find how to clear out the year end total of sales on the register. I can do it by removing the backup batteries and unpluging the machine, but I loose all my settings. I know there are some steps to clear this out without loosing the settings by a few keys strokes. What are the keys and steps to clear out all sales at the end of the year. Thanks.

Hi. You just do the same thing as you do for daily, but in the periodic mode.
Turn the key to X2/Z2 mode and press decimal point then TL (CASH)

PCR-T470 clearing out grand total sales to zero

Hi. It is a non re-settable total to stop fraudulent activity. You would have to RAM clear the whole machine and start from scratch to clear it. You can stop it from printing if you like. There is a setting to turn of grand total printing. Use the machine features tables on your book to set the grand total to not print if it annoys you. If you need a manual, one of the users has it here:

Casio ce6000 error code e004

That means it is having trouble with the memory backup. Don't unplug the machine as it is about to lose all programming and sales data. Has this machine been turned off for a long period of time? When was the battery last replaced?

Problem with end-of-day tapes on Casio TE-2400 register...

The 2400 is great machine for what you are doing. firstly, X and Z are completely different from each other so when you say X or Z, one will not do what you want. X mode is for reading only (examine mode). It will print out the total then keep the figures and add the next day's sales on top of them. X mode is useful if you need to check your totals part way through a day but you don't want to reset them yet. Z mode (rezero mode) is for resetting totals. You should be turning the key to Z and pressing CASH to get the daily total. If the machine has not been reset for a while, print each report twice to erase the old total, then show a cleared total. give it a try.

Reprogramed tax after initializing Sharp ER-A330 now will not accept any sntry

I believe the ER-A330 has a Cashier # button - it should be labeled CASH #. It has to have a cashier signed on to ring a sale. Most owners forget that, because the same cashier stays signed in all the time, and nobody uses the button. If I'm right, all you have to do is this (in REG mode):
[CL] 1 [CASH #]
and start ringing your sale. The CL was to clear the error condition, if it was in one. 1 CASH # assigned Cashier #1 to the register.
The reason the register has the button is so it can track sales totals for each employee or shift. The register can be programed to stick with one cashier until another is signed on, or it can force you to sign on for every sale. At the end of the day it can print the normal Z totals by touching the CA/AT key, and touching the CASH# key gives totals for each cashier, I think.
Initializing the register cleared the cashier assignment and got you into the predicament. Touching the CASH # key twice will also clear the cashier assignment, as will resetting the Cashier totals with a Z reading. In any of those cases, just go back to REG and touch 1 CASH# again (or a different number if you want to sign on a different cashier).

How do i reset my grand sales on a casio TE 2000

very simple solution with no reprogramming of the unit.
- in Z mode: make a report and read the grand total sales amount
- in RF mode make a refund of that amount
- in Z mode make a report again to check that the grand sales is zero.

Hello i have a sharp xe-a1010 cash registar and it froze. ive tried unplugging and reseting it but no luck. ive also tried the clear-escX2-subt# and nothing works.. help please thanks

I think you mean an XE-A101. Try turning the key to REG mode, take one battery out, turn off at wall for 10 minutes, turn on at wall. Put battery back in. NOTE you will lose any sales in the machine. If this doesn't work, then it is usually a keyboard or printer problem.
If anyone needs a manual for a Sharp XE-A101 cash register, c-tech has it here:

I have sharp er-a420 it was in my garage for two years. I like to reprogram my register. I think I need to reset my register, I do not know how. Manager?s key does not do anything. When I plug it in on the...

Most Sharp register, including the ER-A420, have a rechargeable battery mounted inside to hold all memory when the power goes out. It should last a few months, but two years is a bit much. This might get it going:
  1. Unplug from AC POWER.
  2. Turn the key to PGM.
  3. Hold down both paper feed keys (at top-left of keyboard).
  4. While holding those two buttons down, plug the power back in.
  5. Turn the key back to REG.
  6. Enter 1 CASH # to sign on as Cashier 1.
  7. Try a sale.
There is a strong chance this won't do the job, because the memory has been randomized by total loss of power when the battery died. Worse yet, the battery may be too far gone to ever take a solid charge again. If so, you probably need the help of a Sharp register dealer to replace the battery, totally clear all memory and reprogram it. It's probably worth the money; the -420 is an excellent little register.

Grand Total Clear z/1 z/2

Hi. On most machines, the Grand total is non resettable and is just ignored if you don't want to track the total sales of the machine long-term. It should not affect the daily totals. The rest of the report should reset at the end of the day. If you don't see CASH totals and departments etc returning to zero, then there is another problem. If you still want to try to stop the GT on the reports, tell me the brand and model number and I'll see if it can be forced from the report.
