Question about Tappan TGFS_63 Gas Kitchen Range
Igniters for all 4 stove burners spark constantly and will not stop. This occurs when the unit is plugged in and while the controls are all in the off position. Unplugging the unit makes it stop.
Under each gas control is a switch that will turn on the spark module when rotated to the light position. One or more of these switches has failed. Some models these switches are individually replaceable, others the switch is an assembly of all four.

This is a sticking ignition button, or one of the microswitches linked to the control knob is stuck, this can be due to not being used for a while.
I hope this helps

Generally it lifts from the front upward, while being somewhat hinged at the back of the range. This is not really a snap connection but rather it generally will only sit there kind loose.
