A wire has disconnected, you have to take ds apart again (not fully) just so you have access to motherboard with black and white wires showing. look to where the black wire is fixed on and below that to the edge of the board you will see a tiny piece of see-through plastic with black lines through it, (mine had come loose and i had fastened ds up whilst it was curved underneath board). you should also see there a slot approx 2mm at most with 3 / 4 bronze/gold prongs ( very much like smaller version of the large wide wires and slots they fasten into) you dont have to flip anything up to get this wire in or out, just slot in carefully (i used tweezers) as far as will go, making sure you dont disturb placement of any other wires. now put shell back on and before you put screws in just switch ds on to see if problem is solved. hopefully ! mine worked fine after this.

Top screen not as bright as bottom screen

Hi,

You can't change the brightness of the top screen but you can change the brightness of the bottom screen to match/ suit your needs.

Whilst the DS lite is off tke out any games that may be in it, Turn the unit on and touch the screen to take you to the main menu screen. at the bottom left of the menu screen you will see a little sun picture... tap that to change the brightness of the bottom screen, there are 4 stages of brightness to choose from.

Hope this hels, any further questions please feel free to contct me via my profile page.

Regards,

Ds top screen turns white then shuts off.

Hi,
the cables need to be inserted Fully And squarely/evenly.
Also ensure The Tabs are locked Down correctly.
If none of this Works, you may have a blown On-Board Fuse.
I believe these Are Known As F1 And F2.

Ds lite

sorry to say that your top screen needs completely replacing if it is doing as described!!
the bottom screen and the touch screen are seperate, jus mounted on top of each other, so if the picture works on the bottom then the bottom screen is fine just the touch screen is broken. again i think if the cables/ribbons are in correctly and it isn't responding then it will need replacing!!

Nokia 6085 has a blue screen

i have repaired this problem time after time you need to replace the flexcable which is located inside the phone between the top and bottom of the phone the problem is that these phones are very poorly made and the cable inside gets crunched up with opening and shuting of the phone its very easy to replace and change and with ebay you can find the cable for around 4 pounds inc postage if you need help opening the phone please email d12_eminem_cent@hotmail.com i have had around 10 of these phones to fix and only 1 out of the 10 the screen needed replacing change the cable first its cheapest option! hope this helps all!

Touch screen doesn't light up

Your problem is with the LCD behind the touch screen. The bottom scren on your DS is actually two screens. An LCD and a touch screen on top of it. Either your cable has come loose inside the DS or the LCD is possibly bad. This can be fixed.

The other option is that the electronics feeding the LCD have gone bad in which case you might as well buy a new DS. But check the screen first.

If the DS is under a year old you can send it to Nintendo for free repair.

Put in new top screen, now bottom touch screen unresponsive

I know you replaced both top and bottom, and I am assuming that you placed the touch screen as well? it would be the touchscreen that is not working or you did not connect right. connie
