Question about Jensen KDC-9520 CD / Cassette Player
I have a jensen kdc 9520 cd player/ radio. I got all the wires connected right. It plays. The promblem is that it wont light up the face screen where you see the radio staion. all the other lights are illuminated though

I have posted this question on fixya. I have a cheap solution, but it is not perfected yet. Jensen uses LEDs for the button illumination. They use incandescent grain of wheat lamps for LCD illumination. These lamps burn out, the LEDs last nearly forever. I replaced one grain of wheat lamp with one I had which is 6 volts. It is very bright. I need to know what the voltage is that Jensen built in. I suspect it is 12 volts. I have very tiny LEDs that I am going to try out in the LCD illumination.
