Question about HP Pavilion zd8000 Notebook
Problems when booting up. sometimes it boots all the way sometimes it gets to the log in screen and will not let me pick my name to put in password. once booted, I get alot of pop up error boxes...cwndsessionmonitor (memory could not be read) error...internet explorer (yiesrvc.dll from yahoo error)....generic host process for win32 service has encountered prob needs to close error and then it reboots me.
can not charge battery, overheats and then shuts down. bought a cooling fan unit still shuts down, you can feel it getting really warm.
running xp, have norton antivirus.
No Idea about your boot issues, but I can suggest checking the HP site for a battery recall. It's a bit tough to locate on the site as it is a voluntary recall by HP (they don't want to make free too easy!)

Sounds like you get a virus. If possible back up your data. Format your hard drive and reload your operating system. Load and run anti-virus. Load data and applications. Run anti-virus again. That will leave you will a clean hard drive.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
