I understand I need a new cartridge but how do I get the lever off? I don't see any fasteners or anything.

    Thank-You

I'm having the same issue. I'm a plumbing idiot and can't seem to find the installation manual. If anyone can post a "how do I get the cartridge out b/c that's why the lever won't stay up when you turn it on" guide or link to such a guide, please let me know.

This Hansgrohe 04231000 S Thermostatic Trim With Volume Control And Diverter, was installed recently. The lever gradually moves down, to hot, when turned up towards the center at warm. When turned to...

The first thing to check is if the hot and cold lines are crossed. If they are correct the water should get cold when turning the thermostatic handle clockwise and hot when turning counter clockwise. The next thing to check is if the handle is properly justified. Properly installed the temperature will be 100 deg. when the handle lever is pointed down at six o'clock. If not properly justified it will increase the possibility of the handle not staying in place. If you need further help feel free to call Hansgrohe Tech at 1-800-334-0455.

The lever that turns the water on doesn't stay up. Can't lift the handle halfway to get a little water because the handle falls to the off position.

Sounds like the collar that locks down the stem is in need of tighting to get some resistance to hold handle in place.
Remove handle to acces this collar and to tighten.

Lever won't stay on at low flow rate; lever closes automatically. What can I do to fix it?

Sounds like the retaining ring under the handle may need to tighten a little to stiffen lever a little. To remove handle take plastic red/blue cap at base of lever covering the screw. Remove allen screw that holds handle to base with a allen wrench.

Try to tighten collar that holds the stem for the lever and that should help with the lever. if not the gasket that's under the collar maybe wore to the point that tightening want effect it.

If you need a parts diagram go to this link for an exploded view of the internal parts. I hope this will be helpful to you.

Our Moen Kitchen faucet lever does not stay up

That's easy! My husband is a plumber. he says u have to take the lever off. Point the tip of the lever down and put back on. There's a little ledge of plastic that u have to get the metal handle on. It's difficult to explain!

My Danze kitchen faucet is a single lever with spray attachment. The lever does not catch (stay at a desired position). I have tried adjusting the screw under the decorative plug but not luck. Therefore I...

That screw just hods the handle on. If you partially unscrew it, you can remove the handle. Inderneath it there will be a large nut holding the faucet together.

It is possible that the nut just needs to be tightened. It is also possible that the stem/washers etc are worn and it needs to be rebuilt. (replace the stem/washers)

When they get worn things loosen up a bit.

Don't forget to shut the water off under the sink first.

Water flow stops with lever in the up/on position

This unit uses a cartridge with some small washers. I have included a link of the expanded view for your faucet. Take it apart and replace the whashers in it. Hopefully this helps.

Handle lowers on its own, and hot water almost shuts off.

If you remove the handle on the faucet, you will find a grey or white retaining washer that has a couple of notches on it. Tighten this retaining washer and this will solve your problem.

Price pfister faucet handle drops and turns off.

Re the 'falling handle' issue, I think you misunderstood the problem, jgwhomeequip. Unfortunately for me I bought *two* similar Price Pfister faucets and both had the same problem - the water wouldn't stay on and the handle just wouldn't stay up.
I took mine apart looking for something to adjust, fruitlessly. Put it back together and have lived with it like that for ~2 years.

Finally I decided to not be a knucklehead any longer and call the manufacturer. Once I got through to their rep (on a Saturday no less!) she helped me identify the model I had (a 533-50SS, just FYI), and asked me 'what finish'? I replied 'stainless steel' and she promptly replied, 'I'm going to mail you out new lighter handles to replace the ones you have'.

Brilliant! Gold star for PP for standing behind their product well past the warranty for what was apparently a common problem. Replacing the handle will take about 10 seconds per faucet.

I only wish I had got of my a$$ and called them 2 years ago.

Lever will not stay in position

There is a nut in the handle mechanism that needs to be snugged up (adjusted). There is an exploded view of this faucet at http://www.moen.com/shared/pdf/7430pt.pdf
