Question about Panasonic KX-T7630 Corded Phone

My Phones only ring twice before it goes to VoiceMail

Whenever we get an incoming call, our phones only rings twice (well more like 1.5 times). But it doesn't leave us much time to answer the phone before it jumps to voice mail. Any help would be great!

Yes the voice mail is built into the system. I was thinking it has to do with it being on 'Day Mode' but when I try to follow the instructions in the book to change it, the instructions do not match what the voice mail says.

I have been talking to the company that provided the phone and they are telling me I need one of their technicians to come out and fix it with their laptop. That can't be right?? 80 bucks an hour to get my phone to ring more than twice!!?!?!?!

I have the KX-T7630 phone, and the KX-TVM50 & KX-TVM200 voice processing system in the back.

But according to 'Telemaxx Ltd' (the company that supplied and installed our system) the problem can only be fixed by a technician. So I have caved and one is coming out Friday.

Thanks for all your help Tallbourbon, but I assume he will fix it when he comes, or atleast he better for 80 bucks!

What you can do is go into the management console for your system and find the forwarding this is under extentions option 2 fwd/dnd select your extention number and on the bottom option FWD No Answer Time (s) set it to 10 or more and this will change the number of rings.

I use a KX - TDA600 PABX so I hope this helps

My voice mail doesn't work. I cannot get more than 2 rings on my incoming calls.

Press.MENU/SELECT > Ans. Setup menu > Ring Time submenu
Select a Ring time - Toll Saver, 2, 4 or 6 rings. Press MENU/SELECT once again to get a confirmation tone. The Toll saver setting is for if you are checking voicemail on a Long distance call, the call rolls over to the voicemail immediately if there are new messages

Incoming calls: When we receive an incoming call,

Extension call forwarding is controlled by a timer, and they put these things in the manual. If your CF after 2 rings is from a call to a specific extension, from that extension, dial *713 and a 2 digit number from 00-99 seconds on the intercom. Start with 18.

If your call forwarding is from intercept, then you have a system programming issue and need to look in the installer's manual or check with your system programmer.

Incoming calls briefly ring once then automatically kick over to answering machine. I cannot get any incoming calls

Are you using norstar voicemail system?

If you are and know how to get into the admin programming of it, then you go to the line programming and select the number of rings before the vmail system answers.

set the rings to "3", then the lines should ring 3 times on your phone, then on the 4th ring the vmail system will answer

Too many rings on 4025 Superset

You will need the Mitel system programmer to change the Class Of Service of your set, this will change the number of rings before it goes to Voicemail.

Unfortunately, unless you know how to get into the system or have an administrator onsite that has rights to the Mitel system, a Mitel Specialist will be required to make this change.

How do i inrease the number of rings

Don't know if this will work, but try the 983 feature, pw 1020000 (or 120000, or 10020000, depending on your extension numbering). Access the Mailbox menu. "Show" thru the menu until you get to "forward to" ###, then next. This should ask for delay. (to est time in seconds, multiply the number of rings by 6)

Voicemail

It sounds like you are using a voicemail service from a provider, meaning you did not buy the voicemail system with the phone system. If you confirm, I can tell you how to fix this.
