The Samsung GT-S5233 does not support Wi-Fi connectivity. This would explain why you can't sign on to internet at hotels, coffee shops, home, etc. Your only internet connection is through the GPRS WAP gateway for your network. If connection speed and downloads are your intent, you may need to upgrade your phone. the WAP protocol on your handset was written in 2002, using a mobile browser interface. Not many websites currently support mobile browser scripts since the advent of smartphones which have full browser capability. I myself have an older phone running old school tech and have been losing accessibility more and more. It may be time for a forced upgrade. tech facts for the Samsung were found here: http://www.fonearena.com/samsung-s5233-star_880.html
I don't think your computer has bluetooth, in which case you'll need to use the usb cable. I don't what type of phone you have but your phone should have come with a software. This software should have a feature allowing you to connect your pc to the internet via your phone. Simply change the software internet settings to match the web settings on your phone.... if necessary. There is, however, a more complicated method, if the software doesn't work, then i'll try to explain that method.
if u want to connect ur wifi mobile with a wired internet laptop to use wifi from ur laptop and connect ur mobile to the internet absolutely free... WITHOUT ANY ROUTER.... my email id email@example.com
Hi! Your GPRS or data packet service is currently not activated and thats the reason you can't access internet. So contact at&t and get your gprs service activated first and if it is activated then under your phone connection settings input the following settings-
GPRS Settings: Settings Name: Cingular Wireless Internet Express Home Page: http://device:home or http://device.home Session Mode: Permanent Connection Security: On APN: wap.cingular (lower case) PDP_Type: IP Gateway IP Address: 126.96.36.199 Port: 9201 Authentication Type: Secure Login Type: Automatic User Name: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM (All upper case) Password: CINGULAR1 (All upper case) MMS Settings: Service Name: MMS Server Name (mmsc): http://mmsc.cingular.com Web Session Name: MMS
Leave user name & password field blank
Also if above settings don't work then try-
188.8.131.52 Port 3128
APN: proxy UserId: leave blank Password: Leave blank
Browser settings: IP: 10.250.250.250 Port 9203 home page: http://home with rest things same
so you have a wireless router at home? if you dont have, you should get one or you can try to go to some place with free wifi like coffee shops, libraries, etc. The reason why it keeps on saying WLAN NOT FOUND is that ,theres no wireless signal in your area..or signal is too poor that your phone cant reach..
