Question about Samsung SyncMaster 205BW LCD Monitor
I have a Samsung SyncMaster 205BW 20.1" widescreen monitor that I purchased about 3 months back. When I set it up I was very happy with it, and the picture still looks great. Here's the problem: Slowly, but surely, the monitor is tilting more and more towards the ground. As if the base and support are not strong enough to keep it at a clean 180 degrees from the desk. No amount of pushing, pulling or other brute force methods have worked so far... Any suggestions?
I am not a monitor expert, but from product photos, it looks like the flat panel is mounted on a weak pivot, probably a design fault. I would guess that you probably don't want to spend a lot of time on this problem, and don't wish to make it worse. If it were me, I would probably use some sticky-backed velcro on the panel and base so that the velcro would hold the panel up, and still be adjustable... if the monitor's back is against the wall, it won't be seen.
