Question about Sony Walkman Video NWZ-A815 Digital Media Player

Sony NWZ B135F Walkman won't disconnect

I have a Sony NWZ B135F walkman and an Apple MacBook. After transferring files to the walkman and attempting to eject it, i get the following message on the walkman display:  DATA ACCESS, DON'T DISCONNECT and the player won't disconnect from the Mac. There is no way that the files are still being transferred from the Mac.
Is it safe to just pull the Walkman out or could this damage the player? Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions? Thanks

i just unplugg it when the red arrows on the player aren't spinning, and i also get the message on the screen saying the device wasn't removed properly.
i just ignore it since clicking the eject causes it to disconnect then it quickly reconnects again, so yeah im not sure either but everything else works fine with it. i think it might be a driver problem with mac leopard because it works perfectly with vista.

i haven't noticed any files becoming corrupted anyway so i don't think its much of a problem

  • In mac open Disk Utility
  • Select the volume named WALKMAN
  • Hit UNMOUNT
  • Disconnect the player
The trouble is that the player doesn't respond to the comand EJECT in this process a loop started unmounting and seconds later mounting the volume again.
Hope this helps

I want to add video songs via sonic stage but they are not added..

Hi,

The NWZ-S616F Walkman Player is not transferring the music using the SonicStage Software. Sony old Walkman player was using the SonicStage Software for transferring the files. You can use Windows Media Player 11 or higher, Media Manager for Walkman, Content Transfer Software or Windows Explorer for transferring the files to the Player.
Click here and select the operating System to download the Software for transferring the files.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Sony walkman NWZ-B135F doesnot turn on properly.. When turning it on 'Walkman' text appears and '.......' is appearing. after that no action.tried resetting also, no use

First guess. you have a large library and just added something. it is rebuilding its index

Second guess: you have other files than just music on here. it is rebuilding the library and has to scan all the non-mp3 files. Mine takes about 2-5 minutes to boot after adding / removing files

Heey i m using sony walkman mp3 player NWZ B135F m not able transfer song to player thro pc rather not showing icon in ma pc.. plz any can tell me hw to do that..!!!

Try resetting the settings on the player, the firmware may have written incorrectly. Also, check if you have a Lib-USB filter program, as it may be blocking your mp3 player. Either uninstall it or look up how to install your device when the filter is active

Here is the info from Sony:
Is it possible to drag and drop music from the Apple® iTunes® software to the portable player using the Content Transfer Application? Solution
sp.gif sp.gif Yes, if you have iTunes software installed, you can transfer music and playlists from iTunes software to the Walkman® player by dragging and then dropping the files to the Content Transfer application.
NOTES:
  • The Content Transfer application supports data transfer from iTunes software 7.6 or 7.7 to the Walkman player.
  • The Content Transfer application supports data transfer from iTunes software 8.0. However, for playlist transfer from iTunes software 8.0 to the Walkman player, make sure you are using the latest version of the Content Transfer application. The latest version can be downloaded from the Sony Support Web Site at http://esupport.sony.com
  • Digital Rights Management (DRM) copyright-protected files are not supported. iTunes music files may be able to be upgraded to iTunes Plus music files, which do not contain DRM.
  • Do not disconnect the USB connection during data transfer.
  • If there is insufficient free space on the portable player, the data cannot be transferred.
  • The Content Transfer application is included with most newer Walkman Video players. It also is available for additional models in the NWZ-A, NWZ-E, and NWZ-S series. Some models may require an update to be compatible. Additional model-specific information can be found in the Drivers & Software section of the Sony Support Web Site at http://esupport.sony.com.
