my unlocked razr v3 did the same thing. it is a result of the unlocking code. there is no longer a specified carrier so you cannot send or recieve picture message or connect to the internet. but try blue tooth to send pictures=]
ATT should have looked to see if the internet service is turned off for that particular phone. If thats the case, you shall not send receive pictures. Thats the only the reason you should not be able to send receive pictures.
Call ATT again and ask them that. Sorry to say you might have got the high school dropout rehab person that day.
Ussually picture messaging problems are a result of a failed data connection. The mobile internet that you have on the phone is called wap and picture messages use wap to send and receive like an email uses the internet. Check your data connection. Go to a wap site or to the area where your provider offers ringtones and see if it works. It probabyly doesnt. Contact your carrier to help correct it if it doesnt.
Go to Motorolas website https://motorolasetup.tarsin.com/sendappsettings.htm and select exact model of phone follow the directions and they will send you update for the phone. I did not realize that I needed to do this I bought my phone through internet and did not understand why could not send pics as my provider said that I shoud be able to. Now I can hope this works. Good luck
Perhaps ask your network provider to send you a new SIM card with MMS capability - remember to ask to keep your number.
Once you receive the SIM, you will have to call your network provider's customer service department to activate it.
The whole thing takes around 3 days to do, and it's worth it just to find out.
Motorola website has a delightful fix for this problem.
