Question about Televison & Video
Can I connect a sagem pvr62160 hdd to my pc and copy the recordings to the pc? so i can delete all recordings from the PVR and start fresh.
what format are the recordings avi / mpg1 /mpg2 /other codec? will the pc be able to play them?
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Hi margaretanne on Dec 02, 2008
I have a similar problem with mine. I find the battteries are loose, I remove the back of the remote, jiggle the batteries and press the button, and it works, until I drop the remote and the batteries loosen again.

Unplug the aerial; switch the PVR On; if you have control via the remote do a reset to default settings thus:
1. press Menu on the remote
2. select Installation and enter default password of 0000 unless you have changed it
3. select Default settings and okay on YES
4. then turn if off again via the remote
5. plug the aerial back in and it will scan for channels, save them of course.
I got help on this from other forums but saw your request for help. This worked for me.

Please see this other thread. It looks like Thomson have sent out an update over the weekend to a lot of boxes, and suddenly they have all died !
I've written to BBC Watchdog...

SOURCE: Problem with my sagem pvr 64160t
Powering on a Sagem 64160t after disconnecting the HDD will produce the problem that you are experiencing. Sagem build quality can be poor. After opening the case, carefully check the data and power connections to the HDD for joints that lack solder or that haven't been properly seated. If the connections are good then the problem lies with the HDD, which may have failed. Unfortunately, DIY Sagem HDD replacement can be problematic.
