Question about Panasonic Televison & Video
The red fits nice in the center of the screen but is off by a half inch on the outer edges of the screen.
The problem you are having has to do with the internal alignment of the magnetic field of the projection lamps. Each lamp has an internal fine adjustment for the edges. Projection lamps subjected to the earths magnetic field. What this means is that the closer you are to the equator the wider the magnetic dispersion of the earth magnetic field. The effect of the earths magnetic field shows up on rear projection TV's as an alignment problem that first occurs in the corner's of your projection TV. The only way to fix this is a very complicated service prochedure that invlove a electronic alignment of each separte rear projection tube. I would not suggest you attempt this repair yourself unless you know exactly what you are doing. The best thing to do is to contact a qualified service shop that repairs your brand of TV and get a estimate. I suggest that if the cost of the repair exceeds or is close to the amount that you can buy a new plasma or LCD TV that you consider upgrading to the newer flat panels that will never have this type of problem. Flat panel also can have problems so if you decide to purchase a new set I suggest that you consider the extended service contracts that is either offered by the seller or the manufacturer.
I hope this give you the perspective you need to consider your options.
