You either have a faulty or out of adjustment regulator.

The air compressor will now only pump a small amount of air. Not enough to put 12 lbs into a lawn tractor tire. Worked fine for several years. how to repair, please?

many small air compressors are made with ceramic internal parts, when they wear out there is no fixing them, one must buy another compressor

T30 model 242 Safety relief valve pops off at 50-60 lbs pressure. Put on a new one and still the same problem. Don't know what to look for next. Normal cut out is at 150-175. Thanks

From want you are describing sounds like the high pressure valves are leaking in the HP Head. there are 2 safeties on this unit . If the safety that's lifting is between the low and high pressure cylinders it's hp valves leaking. If the tank safety is lifting at 50-60 psi It should be replaced. It is a 200 psi safety.

If the pump is putting out 40 lbs then it is working these things are loud there must be air leaking out some where are you sure that the petcok on the bottom of the tank is closed or the blow out valve is not leaking or mabey I would say the gauge but it dosn;t shut off If the pump is putting air in that tank it eigther compresses or it comes out run your hands all around the mechine when its running there must be a leak

Connecting the compressor to a tank

You left that question rather vague. Are you asking what material? or What size? I normally would run one size larger pipe size than the outlet on the tank, unless the distance is great. You would connect to the tank outlet which is usually 1/2 way up the side of the tank. Use only black iron or copper pipe, plastic pipe is not strong enough for compressed air. There is some plasic tubing rated for air, but that looks sloppy and isn't inexpensive eitehr. Also put a "FRL" between the compressor and piping (FRL=filter regulator lubricator).

COMPRESSOR ONLY GOES UP TO 65 LBS.

this unit should have a pressure switch that cuts the unit off and on with a adjustment to set the cut out .most switches have two adjustment screws.one of them tells the unit to kick on when the pressure is getting low.the other adjustment will raise the pressure to the desired amount.

Tank will not build pressure beyond 25 lbs. Just runs

IS YOUR AIR FILTER CLOGGED. SOUNDS LIKE THE VALVES IN YOUR HEAD ARE NOT CLOSING ALL THE WAY. THEY ARE MOST LIKELY REED VALVES, THIN STRIPS OF METAL THAT OPEN AND CLOSE WHEN THE PISTON MOVES. MAKE SURE THEY ARE CLOSING ALL THE WAY (NOT CARBONED UP). DID YOU REMOVE THE HEAD AND DID YOU PUT BACK LIKE YOU FOUND IT - NOT TURNED OR FLIPPED OVER. SEE IF YOUR FINGER WILL GET SUCKED UP TO THE INTAKE HOLE.

Husky comp on 1st start builds up 75 lbs and wont restart

Check the reset button on the motor to see if it tripped. The motor may be overheating. Some motors have an internal breaker and they have to cool off before they restart. Also check the pressure switch. Move the switch back and forth ( on and off ) and listen for a click. If it doesn't click with low to no air pressure then the switch is bad.
