Your speakers should have a wire with a stereo plug at the end. Sometimes they are color coded green, sometimes not. Try to find a plug that looks like the one here:

Now look at the back of your iMac. Around all the other wires and plugs, you should see 2 holes that this speaker plug will fit into. One of the holes has a headphone symbol and one has an output or speaker symbol. Plug it into that one and you should be good to go. You probably also need to plug the speakers into a normal outlet for power. And make sure you turn the volume up because new speakers usually come with it turned all the way down to avoid sudden loud noise when it's plugged in.

Can JBL Pebbles be connected to an iPad mini?

From a customer review:
It also has an aux 3mm input

If you connected the headphone out of the ipad to the aux in on the speakers via a Male to Male 3.5mm cable the speakers would work. The only amplification would be from the ipad, not the then unpowered speakers.

I have the JBL speakers which are really decent but i want them to be as loud as possible! if i plugged in my logitech speakers into one of the inputs that i would normally put one of my little speakers in...

It should be OK BUT if the JBL and the Logitech are plugged into different mains outlets you could get a hum from one or both sets of speakers. This hum is caused by an earth loop when the speakers are connect to different mains outlets.
The fix.
Connect a power board to a mains outlet and then plug the mains connections from both set of speakers and computer to this power board.

Jbl speakers has no power cord so no power search every where cannot find the cord to buy

you could try opening them up, and making the connection to the power supply yourself, with a plug, some cord and the knowledge on how to make a connection between 2 wires. be careful to isolate the connections you made so that you don't short circuit something. If you can't do this, then take them to a electrician he should be able to make the connection without to much effort.

Need to know polarity of power supply for JBL

Look where the plug goes in
There will be a C shape with a dot in the middle. Follow the line attached to the dot and you will see a + or - which is the polarity. Next you need to know Voltage. Look in the same area, or on the label for this info. If there is NO info by the power plug, it might be AC, which has no polarity - just plug it in. The label may have this information and will say something like 12VDC or 12VAC that is the key. DC Matters (+ and -) AC does not.

Speaker problem

Don't know if you've solved this yet but just in case ...
There is nothing to install with loudspeakers - they are independent devices and have nothing to do with your computer.
Check the little lights. There should be one on the back of the subwoofer (by the power switch) and one underneath each of the satellites. If you haven't got the lights under the satellites then you probably have a faulty subwoofer. Check thought that your connections are solid.  Remember the two satellites' connectors are keyed and may not be fully home, rotate them slightly until they click completely in.
Theses are excellent speakers and should be deafeningly loud.

JBL spot series speaker not working.

I know this is old but just incase anyone has the same problem. Its proabably the connection from back panel to the internal amp (Inside the sub enclosure). The ribbon cable has the + for the left speaker right at the edge with quite a bit of tension. Over time and with the vibrations from the sub this will bend/pull out slightly and needs to be pushed back on and some hot glue put around the connection to hold it in place.

Thats how I fixed mine anyway.
