Same problem...Stuck key err F2E0. Argh.

  • Anonymous Dec 12, 2007

My oven is stuck. It says stuck key, error F2E0 on the display. I can't get the oven to shut off or turn on. I have made several things in the oven tonight. I had turned it off an hour or so before I decided to use it again. I pressed bake and plugged in the temp. 425 degrees. I thought it was preheating and then it just went crazy. The display started switching from one temp to another, beeping each time. I tried turning it off with no luck. I tried turning it on and it wouldn't do that either. My oven is just turned 2 years old. I had an old piece of junk that NEVER gave me a problem. I bought my kitchen aid when I redid my kitchen. I also bought a Kitchen aid dishwasher which has needed service. Never again. If anyone knows how to fix, please help!! I need to make food for my children's classrooms. It is the holidays and I am doomed!!

The clue to the open oven was the winner! I closed the oven door but could not clear the error by the keyboard, so I cycled the circuit breakers to reset the oven. It worked with the only downside of having to reset the programs... starting with the time.

That error code is for the "open oven sensor". You probably just need a new sensor.

I have a Whirlpool Gold 18 months old. I was running the self-clean cycle (3 time I run it since I've had it). Half-way through, it starts beeping AND this message appears: Stuck Key F2E0

What does it mean? Sears brushed me off saying the 1 year warranty is up. We can help you out by sending a technician and charging to tell me what the code means! Why do I keep buying from Sears!

Assistance would be appreciated.

I have a Kitchen Aid with touch oven controls and i just kept running my fingers over all the controls (the oven was beeping like crazy) then all of a sudden the time appeared and all was well - not very technical, but i assume that it was like rebooting the system! Good luck.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F2-E0 on your kitchen aid means that the keypad is shorted and to resolve this issue you’ll have to replace the electronic range control/clock (ERC). Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Getting an error code on the display F2E0 (stuck key). When I was wiping off the display. Is there a way to reset this?

Sometimes you can get lucky by pressing all keys at random several times each. If that does not work you will have to replace the keypad.

Kitchenaid electric range yker1201 with f2e0 error

F2-EO indicatwes a shorted key pad. Electronic parts on ranges sometimes have warranty for five years (may only cover parts) so check your owners manual to see what your warranty is then call for service. It is a good idea to save reciepts of repair for future reference if neccessary.
