Re: unable to transfer pics etc. to e-mail and send
I think you are using PLAIN TEXT FORMAT thats why change it from the options at the top.(the easier one)
The more difficult one is that you got the security options from the outlook which you are using set to high so it won't allow you to insert any pictures. If this is the case browse through the security options and see what it says about attachments and stuff. But i think its more likely to be the first one!

when sending video through e-mail, the e-mail client (yahoo, hotmail, etc...) must be M.A.P.I compliant. MAPI stands for messaging application programming interface. this means that the e-mail client must be set up and programmed to stream video. outlook and outlook express are the only e-mail clients that are progerammed for that type of usage. Only those e-mail clients are programmed to meet the speed the video needs to be streamed through.
Usually you should have a button on top of webcam. Pressing it, will make pictures. Save the pictures in folder and you can send via email
If you don't have the button, you must open the application provided with the webcam. (e. g. Start - programs - your webcam name). In that application you must have option Capture. Clicking on it, it will make pictures.
You can use the mail (Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail) attaching the picture
Using MAPI ( Messaging Application Program Interface) with Microsoft Outlook Express 5/6:
1. Start Microsoft Outlook
2. Go to Tools> Options.
3. Click Make Default under Default Messaging Programs- This application is NOT the default Mail handler.
4. Restart your computer.
Using MAPI with Microsoft Outlook:
Microsoft Outlook automatically sets up your MAPI E-mail program during installation. Make sure you M-O Email app. is properly set up with the right POP account name, password, SMTP mail host account, and other requirements. For further assistance, contact your Internet Service Provider *ISP* or systems administrator.
Usin Web-based E-mail Programs to Send Files *aol, yahoo etc...*:
Web based Email programs don't support MAPI functions. If you click on the Send button, it will not work. To send email files, follow the steps below:
1. Log in to your web based email service.
2.Compose a new email message.
3. Depending on your web based email service, look for the Attach, Attachments, or Insert option to attach your file. You will be prompted to browse for the desired file you want to attach. Change the directory to where you saved your file and attach the files.
you have to create seperate photo albums and folder names. the the camera labels your pictures 1 2 3 and so on. so when those numbers come up again they are overwritten with the new info. so to avoid this...create one folder.(main)... then open that folder and create a new (sub)folders within the main folder for every download hopefully 10 or so more pictures at a time per sub folder....name the sub filders according to the content or, the current date which they were downloaded. what works well with myspace is photobucket.com your personal picture storage online for free. but til then the simple way is to keep this main folder in my pictures...most sites assume your pics are already there. it is the default directory with your msp,s(myspace pik's) ready to upload.
if you take a picture from your camera..in the upper left side, you will see the "File", click that file then save to any folder you want=.)...or right click your camera to explore your camera, then, on your left side you will a dialog box, click the "take new picture.. and then shot of your pic. is in the bottom, right click that pic. and then save to any folder you want.
it may be that the software isn't correctly intergrated with your email programme, you may have to look in settings to see if there are any options for mail programmes.
Failing that uninstal the software and reinstall again and see if that cures it, or the other option is to copy the pic that it takes assumably saving it in my pics after it has done so and pasting it into your email programme.
If you only send and receive mail through your providers web site, that is why it wont work as you have to use outlook express outlook or another email programme.
