Here are step by step instructions on how to connect your Nintendo Wii to the internet. Please note that in order to connect to the internet on your Wii, you must have a wireless router or wireless internet connection, via that's the only way a Wii can access internet!

How do you connect the wii to the internet?


You need to have a wireless internet connecrtion available, then via the Wii system menus, go to the "Internet" option then set the paramaters for your wireless internet connection on the screens.

How to put internet on wii


Wireless Connection: Step 1: Turn on Wii
Step 2: Select the Wii button on the left side of main menu.
Step 3: Select "Wii Settings"
Step 4: Scroll until you see "Internet" and select it.
Step 5: Select "Connection Settings"
Step 6: Search for an open connection by "Connection 3:None button"
Step 7: Select "Wireless Connection" and search for access point.
Step 8: Choose the access point desired from the list and save the settings.
Step 9: Test your connection. If successful you are connected to the internet if not go back and check your connection settings.

Wii will not connect to the internet. how do we get connected?


    Connect a Nintendo Wii to the Internet through a Wireless Router
  1. Step 1 Turn on your Nintendo Wii by plugging it into a power source and pressing the power button.
  2. Step 2 Press the "A" button on your Wii controller to continue from the warning screen.
  3. Step 3 Select "Wii" button in the left hand corner of the main menu, by using your Wii remote to move the hand shaped cursor over the "Wii" button and pressing the "A" button on the controller to select the Wii options.
  4. Step 4 Click the "Wii Settings" box on the right.
  5. Step 5 Select the left arrow to scroll over to more options. Then select "Internet" from the list and "Connection Settings."
  6. Step 6 Choose an open connection by selecting the "Connection 3: None" option, then the "Wireless Connection" option, and the "Search for an Access Point Option."
  7. Step 7 Choose the access point you want to use from the list that will be displayed. Save the settings by clicking "OK." Then click "OK" to start a connection test. When the test is complete you are connected.

Connecting my wii to the internet


to connect your wii to the internet connect to the following link or read the following instructions

to connect your wii to the internet you will need to provide a wireless internet access point for it to find. you will need:

a computer connected to broadband internet
a wireless router OR Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector OR Wii LAN Adapter
your wii console to be nearby all of the above

If you are using the LAN Adapter you must plug the USB connection into the back of your wii console and the other end to your internet modems ethernet port. (follow steps below)

if you are using a wireless connection follow steps below.

Turn on your wii and on the main menu select 'wii' in the bottom left hand corner
On the next screen, select 'wii settings'
In the 'Wii System Settings', click on the blue arrow on the right to reach the second screen of options. On this screen, click the 'Internet' button.
Select 'connection settings'
select an open connection indicated by 'none'
select the corresponding option, Wired or Wireless connection

Wired:
(follow steps below)

Wireless:
Select the corresponding option, Search for an access point or Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector
the wii will search for an access point, select the access point you wish to connect to, and save the settings

The wii will now do a test connection and do a system update, the wii will now use that connection point to acces the online services
