Question about Dell 942 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Well if you have never done this I hope you do have a user manual because it makes it simpler to explain. The first part of the manual would show you a picture step by step on how to do this. But if you do not have one it is not difficult. First you need to power the printer off. Lift the lid so that you have access to where the printer head goes back and forth to print. Once you have lifted the lid the printer head and cartridges on it should be to the far left. You can reach with your fingers and gently pull it to the middle of the platen or carriage so you have it right in front of you. The cartridges are clearly marked and you simply have to lift the black ink cartridge out. They kind of snap into place so it may take a gentle pull to lift it up and back to get out. Take your new one and be sure you have taken a small cover they put on all of them off before snapping it back into place. When you pull the old one off you will be able to see the little cover I am talking about. Close the lid and power the printer back up and you are back in business. Good luck and God bless.
