Homelite 26D leaf blower bogs down in Run position

I have a homelite 26D leaf blower that I can crank it up fine but when I put it in the run position it bogs down and shuts off. I put a new spark plug and fuel filter in it and it still bogs down in the run position. What is the problem?

I have a Model UT08131, when you tilt the nozzle down to blow leaves it stops. You must have the gas tank completly full to make it run in this positon.

Ihave Homelite 26D ran Great and went on vacation and now will not start. I have had it for less than a year and have never had any troubles with it. I changed the plug thinking that it may have fouled out. Not the problem. Took the plug out and checked for spark and it started the gas it blew out on fire. Pulled cord with plug out and made sure there was no gas in the cylinder and still will not try to fire. Any suggestions. I do not have the manuel packed it up because I am in the process of moving.

My Homelite gas leaf blower will crank but will only run for a few seconds. I have changed the spark plug and checked the fuel line but have not been able to fix the problem. What else should I check?

check the "check valve" in the gas cap. open the cap slightly and start the blower. If it runs then it is probably a faulty check valve. Buy a new cap.

IN BACKPACK BLOWER USED 4 CYCLE OIL AND NOW RUNS SLOW

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO TOUCH THE CARB!!! Put the right 2cycle fuel mix in with new spark plug and run it, it will gradually pick up R.P.M's as it cleans out. once you get it running hit your primer button while holding it wide open, this will cause it to bog down and possible stall then start it again and do this half dozen times, what it is doing is pulling your fresh gas through the carb, another way is start and hold throttle wide open and work your choke open/shut back and forth several times, You do not have to clean your carb, this is simple problem to fix by doing what I said, Happy Leaf Blowing ! 2StrokeJim

My homelite blower starts but after on run position shuts down

Ck and see if it has a choke. If it is on full choke, reduse choke after you put in on full run.

Bogs down at full thouldel tryed to adjust carberator

Hi
This is either a clogged muffler or carb. Take the off and see if it will rev. If not you need to clean carb and install a carb repair kit. Do not run long with muffler off.

Just started bogging down when I try to give it gas.

Basic things to check:
1) spark plug
2) spark arrestor in muffler
3) fuel lines and tank filter
4) turn adjustment needles out (counterclockwise) 1/4 to 1/2 turn

*if all of the above are OK and/or do not improve performance then:
5) carburetor gaskets/diaphragms

Blower will not achieve maximum rpms and bogs down when accelerated

most new homelites etc have the high speed screw too lean because of epa standards---you usually need a special tool either a splined or pac man screwdriver to open the adjustment screw another 1/4 to 1/2 turn to get the right rpm's

BX 90 homelite leaf blower two idle screws

The initial setting is 1 1/2 turns out. Screw them all the way in and them turn them 1 1/2 turns out. This is the starting position and should start, it may need some final adjustments to run like you need it to run.
Remember more the screw is out the more fuel it will get.
Good Day.
